Emissioni della Zotac GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
Sia la GeForce GTX 1660 Ti che la GeForce GTX 1060 hanno lo stesso TDP di 120 watt. Tuttavia, la GeForce GTX 1660 Ti è notevolmente più veloce della GTX 1060, il che significa che la GPU di Zotac è più efficiente dal punto di vista energetico.
Quando è inattivo, il sistema consuma 68 watt. Durante il nostro stress test, il consumo medio ha raggiunto i 233 watt e il picco di consumo energetico è stato di 250 watt. Tuttavia, questi numeri non possono essere attribuiti esclusivamente alla GPU. Il limite di potenza di Zotac GeForce GTX 1660 Ti può essere aumentato fino al 10%. In questo modo si ottiene un corrispondente aumento del consumo energetico. Con l'aumento del Power Target (PT) al 110%, la potenza media assorbita ammonta a 247 watt.
Utilizziamo "The Witcher 3" per misurare il consumo energetico durante il gioco. Qui, vediamo un consumo di 235 watt, che è paragonabile a quello che abbiamo visto durante lo stress test (PT 100%). La Zotac GeForce GTX 1660 Ti consuma la minor quantità di energia tra le GPU nel nostro gruppo di confronto. Con 243 watt, la GeForce GTX 1070 è molto vicina. Tuttavia, questa GPU è stata valutata con un processore più efficiente dal punto di vista energetico.
Non abbiamo notato alcun problema termico. Le temperature hanno raggiunto 74 °C (~165,2 °F) durante il nostro stress test (obiettivo di potenza: 110%). Durante il normale utilizzo, le temperature hanno raggiunto i 72 °C (~161.6 °F) (obiettivo di potenza: 100%). Le ventole arrivano a 1550 RPM e quindi erano appena udibili. La scheda grafica non produce rumori anomali come il coil whine.

Overclocking - dal 5 al 7% max
Un po' più prestazioni possono essere estratte dalla GPU attraverso l'overclocking. Per ottenere un maggiore potenziale di overclocking, abbiamo aumentato il limite di potenza dal 100 al 110%. In questo modo il TDP aumenta il TDP fino a 132 watt.
Siamo stati in grado di aumentare il core clock di 100 MHz e la frequenza di memoria di 800 MHz. Questo ha portato ad una larghezza di banda di memoria significativamente superiore di 326,4 GB/s e ad un boost clock massimo fino a 1870 MHz.
I risultati dell'overclocking manuale si riflettono nei benchmarks. In questo caso, la GPU è più veloce di circa il 5-7% rispetto alla modalità standard.
Questo risultato è abbastanza buono, dato che la Zotac GeForce GTX 1660 Ti non presenta un overclock di fabbrica. Il target di massima potenza ha molto a che fare con il potenziale di overclocking che una GPU può offrire, ed è per questo che molti partner scelgono di personalizzarlo. Detto questo, se la GTX 1660 Ti fosse overclockata in fabbrica, avrebbe sicuramente un potenziale di overclocking molto inferiore.

Giudizio Complessivo - Buona GPU di livello medio
Dopo il lancio delle GPU basate su Turing, le schede grafiche basate su Pascal stanno iniziando a esaurirsi. La Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti è una scheda video basata su Turing senza Raytracing o tensor cores. La GTX 1660 Ti non supporta DLSS, perché è qui che Nvidia ha deciso di tracciare il confine tra la serie GTX e la serie RTX. Abbiamo ricevuto un modello di GPU dal nostro partner Zotac, perché Nvidia non produce la propria versione della GPU con il marchio Founders Edition.
Al momento della pubblicazione di questa recensione, la GTX 1660 Ti costa al dettaglio 280 euro ($314) nei negozi online, il che significa che ha circa lo stesso costo della GeForce GTX 1070. Naturalmente, stiamo parlando di nuove GPU, non di seconda mano, che si possono ottenere a prezzi molto bassi su eBay e altri siti web simili.
In termini di prestazioni, la Zotac GeForce GTX 1660 Ti si colloca tra la GTX 1060 e la GTX 1070. La GTX 1660 Ti da 6 GB è battuta dalla GTX 1070. Tuttavia, la GTX 1660 Ti resta ancora una buona GPU per i giochi 1080p, perché 6 GB di VRAM è ancora sufficiente per tali risoluzioni.
Tra le GPU sotto i 300 euro (336 dollari), la Zotac GeForce GTX 1660 Ti offre grandi prestazioni di gioco e attualmente non ha una vera concorrenza.
Per quanto riguarda l'efficienza energetica, la GTX 1660 Ti ha un vantaggio rispetto alla GTX 1070. Questo è il motivo per cui la GTX 1660 Ti non è una scelta così sbagliata per coloro che sono alla ricerca di una GPU inferiore ai 300 euro (336 dollari). I prezzi delle offerte di AMD come l'RX 580, la RX 590 e la Vega 56 sono stati notevolmente ridotti, e oggi l'RX 580 e l'RX 590 costano meno della GTX 1660 Ti. Tuttavia, queste due schede video RX non sono veloci quanto la GTX 1660 Ti. La Radeon RX Vega 56 può battere la GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, ma la Vega 56 è molto più assetata di energia.
Possiamo consigliare di acquistare una GeForce GTX 1660 Ti a meno di 300 euro ($336). Coloro che sono disposti a spendere più di 300 euro ($336) faranno molto meglio a scegliere una RTX 2060, perché è circa il 20-25% più veloce della GTX 1660 Ti. Il passaggio da una GTX 1070 a una GTX 1660 Ti non ha assolutamente senso.
Se state progettando di costruire un PC da zero, allora una GPU basata su Turing sembra un'opzione molto ragionevole, perché le schede video basate su Turing saranno sicuramente più performanti nei titoli futuri rispetto alle GPU basate su Pascal.
