Hardware familiare riconfezionato!

Con M2A Starship, Acemagic ha un PC da gioco molto accattivante nel suo portafoglio. Il design insolito del mini-PC, simile a un'astronave, attira l'attenzione, ma l'hardware è familiare e già utilizzato nel Tank03 di Acemagic. In questa recensione, abbiamo analizzato le prestazioni pratiche dell'Intel Core i9-12900H e della GPU per laptop NvidiaGeForce-RTX-3080 nell'esclusivo alloggiamento.

Già con il Acemagic Tank03 il produttore di sistemi dell'Estremo Oriente aveva già presentato un potente PC da gioco che aveva ottenuto punti per il suo aspetto e la sua compattezza. Con l'Acemagic M2A Starship, il produttore adotta un approccio simile, sebbene il dispositivo sia leggermente più grande. In cambio, Acemagic M2A offre un design estremamente insolito. Tuttavia, l'hardware interno si basa su componenti familiari utilizzati nell'Acemagic Tank03.

Nella configurazione top, il produttore accoppia un Intel Core i9-12900H con una Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 laptopche dispone di 16 GB di VRAM. L'astronave M2A di Acemagic ha un valore di riconoscimento estremamente elevato grazie al suo aspetto. Il produttore racchiude l'hardware in un case stravagante che assomiglia a un'astronave. Chi è alla ricerca di un PC dal look insolito, apprezzerà sicuramente l'Acemagic M2A. Nella scelta dei materiali viene utilizzata prevalentemente la plastica. Non è una tragedia, perché gli elementi color argento si abbinano perfettamente allo chassis in plastica nera. L'ingombro dell'accattivante mini-PC è leggermente superiore a quello di altri concorrenti. Tuttavia, l'Acemagic M2A Starship non è completamente esagerato. Il peso dell'esemplare di prova è di poco superiore a 2,1 chilogrammi, con l'enorme alimentatore da 300 watt che pesa altri 1,1 chilogrammi. Il dispositivo è costruito in modo robusto e offre anche un alto livello di rigidità. Tuttavia, l'involucro potrebbe rompersi sotto carico se il dispositivo è freddo e si riscalda sotto carico durante il gioco.

Come highlight visivo, il produttore ha installato alcuni elementi illuminati che possono essere controllati con un piccolo strumento. Caratteristiche - Molte porte con connettività USB4

L'Acemagic M2A Starship offre un numero sufficiente di interfacce esterne. Ci sono un totale di sei prese USB-A e una presa USB4 aggiuntiva, che può fornire molte più porte tramite una docking station, ad esempio. Ci sono due uscite HDMI e una DisplayPort per l'uscita delle immagini. In alternativa, la porta USB4 può essere utilizzata anche per l'uscita video. L'Acemagic M2A Starship è dotato di un modulo WLAN di Realtek. Lo stesso modello era già stato utilizzato nel Acemagic Tank03. Il modulo wireless ha fornito buoni risultati nel test. Tuttavia, non utilizza l'ultimo standard Wi-Fi. Ciò significa che, nella migliore delle ipotesi, dovrà accontentarsi della banda di frequenza di 5 GHz. Tutti i test Wi-Fi sono stati eseguiti con il nostro router di prova Asus ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000. Per le connessioni di rete cablate, l'Acemagic M2A Starship offre due interfacce RJ45, ognuna delle quali consente velocità fino a 2,5 Gbit/s.

Accessori

Acemagic non include molti extra con l'M2A Starship. Oltre al dispositivo stesso, la scatola relativamente grande contiene un grande alimentatore da 300 watt, un cavo HDMI di alta qualità e un manuale d'uso.

Manutenzione

L'Acemagic M2A Starship non offre un modo rapido e semplice per sostituire la RAM o l'SSD. Questo è un peccato a causa dei due sportelli di manutenzione sul Acemagic Tank03. Tuttavia, il mini-PC Starship può essere smontato se si è un po' abili. Per accedere all'interno, bisogna prima rimuovere numerose viti. Ci sono anche quattro viti nascoste sotto i piedini di gomma incollati. Dopo aver rimosso i piedini e la copertura di plastica sottostante, che è avvitata separatamente, si ha solo la possibilità di sostituire il modulo WLAN. La RAM e l'SSD si trovano sull'altro lato della scheda madre. In pratica, è necessario rimuovere l'intera scheda madre, compresa l'unità di raffreddamento. Ci siamo messi al lavoro e siamo riusciti a smontare il dispositivo fino a questo punto. Purtroppo, non è possibile sostituire rapidamente la RAM o espandere la memoria di massa. Altri dispositivi offrono soluzioni più semplici. Infine, Acemagic M2A Starship può essere equipaggiato con due SSD NVMe. Il dispositivo offre esattamente due slot SO-DIMM per la RAM, che sono dotati di due moduli da 16 GB.

Software

Il sistema operativo Windows 11 Home è preinstallato su Acemagic M2A Starship. Ci sono anche due piccole app preinstallate sul dispositivo, che vengono utilizzate per controllare l'illuminazione e regolare il display integrato. Il controllo RGB è molto semplice e non offre molte opzioni di personalizzazione. Questo programma può essere utilizzato anche per accendere o spegnere la piccola lampada del proiettore sul lato inferiore. Il display sulla parte anteriore viene utilizzato per mostrare alcune informazioni sul sistema e può essere personalizzato in misura limitata. Tuttavia, Acemagic avrebbe potuto utilizzare lo spazio sulla parte anteriore in modo più efficace. Il display integrato è relativamente piccolo e non sempre si riesce a leggere perfettamente a causa della copertura in plastica curva.

Il tema dei virus e dei trojan ha ancora un retrogusto negativo in relazione ad Acemagic. Tuttavia, non siamo riusciti a rilevare nulla di insolito sul nostro dispositivo di prova. Per essere sicuri, dovrebbe reinstallare completamente il sistema operativo preinstallato. Questa procedura non dipende dal produttore e dovrebbe sempre essere eseguita!

Prestazioni - Intel Core i9-12900H o Intel Core i7-12700H

Con il Intel Core i9-12900H acemagic installa un SoC veloce e potente nella configurazione top, che insieme a un laptop Nvidia RTX 3080 Laptop Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 offre prestazioni di gioco eccezionali. In alternativa, l'Acemagic M2A Starship è equipaggiato con un Intel Core i7-12700H. Gli acceleratori 3D includono ancora una Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop o un Laptop Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 tra cui scegliere.

Tutti i test sulle prestazioni sono stati eseguiti con il profilo energetico "Bilanciato". L'astronave Acemagic M2A è stata lasciata nel suo stato di consegna. Sono stati installati tutti gli aggiornamenti di Windows disponibili fino al momento del test.

Processore

Il Intel Core i9-12900H è un processore di fascia alta basato sull'architettura Alder Lake di Intel. Con 14 core e 20 thread, il SoC padroneggia applicazioni potenti con facilità. Anche i concorrenti hanno mostrato prestazioni altrettanto buone, il che mette l'Acemagic M2A Starship in buona compagnia. In un confronto diretto delle prestazioni, tuttavia, è sufficiente per il secondo posto. Le prestazioni eccezionali del Intel Core i7-12700Hche è installato nel Intel NUC 12 Serpent Canyonnon può essere eguagliato dal nostro campione di prova. A differenza del Acemagic Tank03le prestazioni del processore non possono essere ulteriormente ridotte o addirittura aumentate. I limiti delle prestazioni dell'Intel Core i9-12900H sono di 65 watt al picco, anche se 45 watt sono permanentemente disponibili.

Le prestazioni del sistema di Acemagic M2A Starship non sono affatto inferiori a quelle degli altri concorrenti. Il PC da gioco funziona in modo fluido e gestisce i compiti multi-thread senza sforzo. Latenze DPC

Rileviamo un aumento delle latenze DPC quando si aprono diverse schede del browser nel browser Edge. Durante la riproduzione del video 4K di YouTube, i valori non aumentano inizialmente. Inoltre, in questo caso viene utilizzata l'iGPU, che viene caricata a circa il 22%. Un test di stress con Prime95 fa sì che i valori aumentino di nuovo leggermente. L'astronave Acemagic M2A è dotata di un SSD da 1 TB di Rayson. Il modello utilizzato utilizza l'interfaccia M.2 con velocità PCIe 4.0 x4. Nei test, il dispositivo di archiviazione di massa ha ottenuto prestazioni ragionevoli ed è arrivato terzo nel confronto. È prevedibile una perdita di prestazioni a causa della temperatura, come si può vedere dalle prestazioni continue.

Come già accennato nella sezione sulla manutenzione, è possibile installare due dispositivi di archiviazione di massa nell'Acemagic M2A. Tuttavia, l'installazione di un secondo SSD è tutt'altro che semplice. Dato il gruppo target del mini-PC, sarebbe più sensato installare direttamente un SSD con 2 TB di spazio di archiviazione.

Scheda grafica - GPU per laptop Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 con 16 GB

La scheda grafica dedicata nel nostro campione di prova è una GPU per computer portatile Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080. I limiti di prestazione delle schede grafiche mobili vanno da 80 a 150 watt. In Acemagic M2A, le prestazioni dell'acceleratore 3D sono limitate a un massimo di 115 watt, il che significa che non è possibile sfruttare tutto il potenziale della scheda grafica. Osservando i risultati sintetici dei benchmark, il nostro campione di prova non può competere con i due concorrenti con la scheda grafica GPU per computer portatili Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070. A causa della generosa unità di raffreddamento e delle temperature documentate finora, il produttore avrebbe potuto aspettarsi un po' più di prestazioni dalla scheda grafica dedicata. Il più grande vantaggio della GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 per laptop nell'Acemagic M2A è certamente l'ampia memoria grafica. Qui vengono utilizzati 16 GB di VRAM. Già con il Acemagic Tank03il produttore ha utilizzato questa combinazione.

Una nota importante sulla scheda grafica installata riguarda il driver e il supporto del produttore. I driver ufficiali di Nvidia non possono essere installati. Il motivo per cui il produttore prende una deviazione e consente solo driver speciali in questo caso è un mistero per noi. Questo comporta problemi di compatibilità con i giochi più recenti, in quanto Acemagic tratta l'argomento degli aggiornamenti dei driver per i suoi dispositivi in modo piuttosto trascurato. Lo stesso problema esiste anche con il Tank03 di Acemagic, che alla fine ha una base simile. È possibile scaricare e installare dei driver appositamente adattati su Internet tramite GitHub. Tuttavia, è importante notare che questa non è una fonte ufficiale e potrebbe contenere malware.

Prestazioni di gioco

Fondamentalmente, l'astronave Acemagic M2A con la GPU GPU per computer portatile Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 offre prestazioni eccezionali per eseguire senza problemi quasi tutti i giochi attuali. Nel confronto delle prestazioni, tuttavia, il nostro campione di prova non riesce a distinguersi in modo evidente dai concorrenti con GPU Nvidia. Rispetto all'Intel NUC12 Serpent Canyon, tuttavia, vediamo un chiaro vantaggio a favore di Acemagic. Il Intel Arc A770M non ha alcuna possibilità, anche se questo modello dispone di 16 GB di VRAM. L'Acemagic M2A Starship è adatto ai giochi in FullHD. Se i titoli più recenti non sono necessariamente sempre giocati, il mini-PC offre anche frame rate giocabili in QHD o addirittura UHD. Emissioni - Quattro ventole sono chiaramente udibili

Emissioni di rumore

Acemagic ha installato quattro ventole nella M2A Starship, che sono sempre in rotazione. Quando è al minimo, il mini-PC è ancora piacevolmente silenzioso, con circa 33 dB(A). Tuttavia, sotto carico e durante i giochi, le ventole aumentano notevolmente. Abbiamo raggiunto un picco di 53,9 dB(A), che è chiaramente udibile. Temperatura

Il sistema di raffreddamento di Acemagic M2A Starship consiste in sette heatpipes e quattro ventole, che aspirano l'aria fredda dai lati e dal fondo. L'aria calda viene poi diretta fuori dal case ai lati e anche sul retro. La ventilazione è buona e non c'è accumulo di calore sotto forma di temperature elevate del case in qualsiasi momento.

Vediamo un massimo di 97 °C per il processore sotto carico, ma non è permanente. Con un consumo energetico di 45 watt, la temperatura del processore Intel Core i9-12900H si assesta intorno ai 76 °C. Il GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 per computer portatili è anch'essa ben raffreddata e non raggiunge i 75 °C sotto carico. Il consumo energetico massimo di 115 watt può essere dissipato per un periodo più lungo senza problemi.

Con Acemagic M2A Starship, il produttore offre un PC da gioco davvero interessante. Tuttavia, non è dotato dell'hardware più recente del mercato, il che è un po' un peccato. Tuttavia, le prestazioni dell'Intel Core i9-12900H in combinazione con la scheda tecnica GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 per laptop consente buone prestazioni di gioco. Come abbiamo potuto determinare nel test, quasi tutti i giochi moderni possono essere visualizzati in modo fluido sullo schermo a 1080p. L'Acemagic M2A Starship soddisfa quindi i requisiti di un PC da gioco. La dimensione della memoria video va sottolineata positivamente, perché con 16 GB raramente si corre il rischio di un collo di bottiglia. Molti giochi sfruttano appieno la memoria grafica, anche in FullHD. In termini di consumo energetico della scheda grafica, Acemagic adotta un approccio conservativo: con 115 watt, la GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop è un po' limitata nelle sue prestazioni, motivo per cui le prestazioni della scheda grafica sono addirittura inferiori a quelle di una scheda ben performante Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU nel Minisforum NUCxi7.

Acemagic M2A Starship è un PC da gioco molto accattivante e compatto, con buone prestazioni di gioco.

Il design di Acemagic M2A Starship è certamente discutibile. Tuttavia, il mini-PC attira sicuramente l'attenzione. In termini di lavorazione, non c'è molto di cui lamentarsi. È stata utilizzata molta plastica e non ci si deve aspettare alcuna delizia aptica. La disposizione dei componenti installati è poco pratica. La RAM e l'SSD possono essere scambiati, anche se raggiungerli sarà un grosso problema per molti. Questo problema è stato risolto molto meglio con l'Acemagic Tank03.

Vale la pena sottolineare le numerose connessioni, che certamente hanno dovuto essere spostate tutte sul retro a causa del design. Tuttavia, chi non vuole collegare e scollegare continuamente le periferiche dovrebbe essere in grado di farcela. In alternativa, è possibile collegare una docking station tramite USB4 per evitare questo problema.

Purtroppo, il raffreddamento non è ben implementato. L'Acemagic M2A Starship è dotato di quattro ventole. Queste garantiscono prestazioni stabili per la CPU e la GPU sotto carico. Tuttavia, le quattro ventole producono un rumore di fondo chiaramente udibile.
