Recensione del PC desktop Primestation Pulsar: AMD Ryzen Pro con raffreddamento passivo e produzione sostenibile
Potente e silenzioso!
Prime Computer ha una visione molto particolare con il Primestation Pulsar. Il concetto di questo potente PC da ufficio è quello di essere sostenibile sotto tutti i punti di vista. Diamo un'occhiata più da vicino, sottoponendolo ai nostri test, e scopriamo che il concetto di assenza di ventole può essere abbastanza convincente.Prime Computer è un produttore di sistemi con sede principale in Svizzera. Oltre a sviluppare i propri prodotti, Prime Computer pone molta enfasi sulla sostenibilità, che comprende anche la durata di vita prevista dei dispositivi. Nel caso particolare del Primestation Pulsar, che valutiamo qui nel nostro test, vengono compensati circa 861 kg di CO₂. È incluso un periodo di utilizzo di cinque anni. Passiamo alla Primestation Pulsar di Prime Computer: Il produttore lo descrive come una workstation senza ventole. Di seguito diremo di più su ciò che pensiamo di una workstation. Il Primestation Pulsar è gestito da un AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5750G e 32 GB di memoria di lavoro. Nella nostra configurazione di prova, la soluzione di archiviazione è un SSD NVMe da 1 TB con un SSD SATA aggiuntivo che offre anch'esso 1 TB di spazio di archiviazione. Il tutto è racchiuso in un case compatto che funge anche da soluzione di raffreddamento completa per i componenti. Non c'è nessuna ventola, il che è un grande vantaggio per alcuni scenari di utilizzo specifici.

La Primestation Pulsar in dettaglio
Caso
Primestation Pulsar è un PC desktop compatto basato sulla progettazione e sullo sviluppo di un case interno. L'obiettivo era quello di creare un PC con raffreddamento completamente passivo per le esigenze specifiche del segmento business. Ciò significa che il case è l'elemento centrale del Primestation Pulsar. È realizzato completamente in metallo e offre enormi nervature di raffreddamento su entrambi i lati. La stabilità del case è molto buona e resiste ai tentativi di deformazione durante l'uso regolare, compreso il trasporto. Se le alette di raffreddamento fossero state più sottili per aumentare la superficie di raffreddamento, la stabilità sarebbe potuta diventare un problema. Con poco più di 4 chilogrammi (~8,8 lb), il computer compatto porta sulla bilancia un peso elevato, che non è molto evidente a prima vista. L'alimentatore esterno aggiunge quasi altri 500 grammi (~1,1 lb). La lavorazione del Primestation Pulsar è di altissima qualità e anche l'aptica del dispositivo lascia un'impressione di grande qualità.
Apparecchiature di connessione
Il Primestation Pulsar offre solo opzioni per collegare dispositivi esterni sul retro. In particolare, si tratta delle connessioni esterne della scheda madre da gioco Asus ROG Strix B550-I integrata. Prime Computer utilizza una scheda madre Mini ITX convenzionale, rinunciando a un design interno. Le connessioni aggiuntive del pannello frontale offerte dalla scheda madre non vengono utilizzate. A nostro avviso, una o due connessioni USB nella parte anteriore e l'integrazione di un lettore di schede SD sarebbero state aggiunte sensate.
Comunicazione
Il modulo WiFi del Primestation Pulsar offre WiFi-6, che si traduce in una velocità di trasferimento dati molto elevata. Nel nostro confronto, l'unità di prova si confronta con lo Zotac ZBOX Magnus EN173070C. Tuttavia, tutti i concorrenti nella nostra tabella di confronto sono superati dal NUC Dragon Canyon di Intel. È presente anche una connessione RJ45 che consente velocità di trasferimento dati fino a 2,5 Gbit/s.

Prestazioni
Processore
Il Primestation Pulsar utilizza il processore AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5750G. Secondo le specifiche approssimative, questa APU è unaAMD Ryzen 7 5700G. Tuttavia, il AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5750Gè in grado di offrire un buon punteggio in termini di funzioni di sicurezza, il che sottolinea l'utilizzo di Primestation Pulsar in ambito aziendale. Gli otto core Zen 3 sono in grado di sviluppare buone prestazioni nonostante il raffreddamento passivo. Non ci sono differenze evidenti rispetto al Minisforum EliteMini B550. D'altra parte, rispetto all'AMD Ryzen 7 5700G che abbiamo valutato nel nostro PC per il test delle CPU, la nostra unità di prova ha un leggero svantaggio. Ma solo il 6% non è molto, quindi non è un'indicazione di una limitazione termica. Rispetto a una CPU Intel, possiamo dire che raggiunge le prestazioni di un Intel Core i5-11600K. Tuttavia, a seconda dello scenario, il processore octa-core nativo del Primestation Pulsar è in grado di superare nettamente il processore hexa-core di Intel. Ma grazie al raffreddamento passivo, l'APU funziona a soli 45 watt. Questo dato è memorizzato nel BIOS e, alla nostra domanda, il produttore ha confermato che questo è necessario per far funzionare il processore in modo affidabile.

Primestation Pulsar in Cinebench R15 Multi Loop
Il raffreddamento passivo del Primestation Pulsar sembra funzionare bene anche nella pratica, come possiamo vedere nel nostro Cinebench R15 a ciclo costante. Secondo le impostazioni del BIOS, il consumo energetico dell'APU è fissato a 45 watt. I risultati stabili mostrano anche che il case è in grado di dissipare il calore in modo affidabile. Non abbiamo osservato alcun calo significativo delle prestazioni.
Soluzione per lo storage e le prestazioni delle applicazioni
Le prestazioni di sistema del Primestation Pulsar sono buone e persino migliori di quelle dell'AMD Ryzen 7 5700G. Gli altri Mini PC di Morefine e Minisforum non riescono a tenere il passo nel PCMark 10 sintetico e solo il Minisforum EliteMini HX90 raggiunge un numero di punti quasi simile. Una workstation completa dovrebbe includere anche una potente scheda grafica per uso professionale. Tuttavia, il Primestation Pulsar non è in grado di offrirla, quindi le prestazioni di rendering non sono in grado di tenere il passo con quelle dell'Intel Core i5-11600K.Intel Core i5-11600Ke Nvidia Titan RTX. Al momento non è prevista una soluzione passiva che includa una scheda grafica dedicata. Quindi chi è attratto dalla parola chiave "workstation" dovrebbe capire che il tema del rendering 3D non dovrebbe essere in cima alla lista dei compiti per una Primestation Pulsar. Purtroppo, la piattaforma non offre nemmeno la possibilità di utilizzare una scheda grafica esterna. A questo proposito, diamo un'occhiata più da vicino al Minisforum EliteMini B550, che almeno offre questa possibilità, anche se la grafica non fa parte dei suoi veri punti di forza. Ci limitiamo a considerare ciò che è possibile fare in termini di tecnologia.
La soluzione di archiviazione è costituita da due unità SSD di Samsung. Entrambi i modelli offrono 1 TB di spazio di archiviazione dei dati, offrendo così spazio sufficiente per le applicazioni che necessitano di spazio di archiviazione. Va inoltre ricordato che una delle unità SSD è un'unità M.2 NVMe e l'altra un'unità SATA da 2,5 pollici. Le velocità di trasferimento del Samsung SSD 980 sono veloci e del tutto sufficienti per il lavoro d'ufficio di tutti i giorni. L'unità SSD da 2,5 pollici è una Samsung SSD 970 EVO, che in corrispondenza della connessione SATA offre anch'essa buone velocità di trasferimento senza alcun comportamento evidente. L'unità SSD SATA può essere espansa rapidamente, poiché nella parte inferiore è presente un piccolo sportello di manutenzione in cui è possibile inserire fino a 4 TB. Per quanto riguarda l'unità SSD M.2, sembra esserci una sola opzione e le opzioni di configurazione durante il processo di ordinazione non consentono altro.

Il Primestation Pulsar non emette alcun rumore. Come già detto, non ci sono componenti di raffreddamento attivi, quindi non ci sono nemmeno rumori fastidiosi.
Temperatura
Durante il nostro stress test con Prime95 e FurMark, chiediamo il massimo al nostro sistema di prova. Poiché, come già sappiamo, Prime Computer limita il consumo energetico dell'AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5750G a 45 watt, le temperature non continuano a salire all'infinito. A una temperatura massima di 77 °C (171 °F), la CPU funziona stabilmente a 3,6 GHz in media. L'iGPU rimane leggermente più fredda a 72 °C (162 °F) sotto carico. Nel successivo test 3DMark, subito dopo lo stress test, il risultato ottenuto dalla nostra unità di test non è peggiore, il che dimostra che Prime Computer è in grado di mantenere un'ottima gestione delle temperature con il design del raffreddamento passivo. In un periodo di tempo prolungato, il case si riscalda fino a oltre 50 °C (122 °F). Pertanto, chi utilizza Primestation Pulsar deve lasciare uno spazio aperto sufficiente intorno al case affinché il raffreddamento abbia un effetto ottimale.
Consumo di energia
Per quanto riguarda il consumo energetico del Primestation Pulsar, misuriamo 12,5-14,5 watt durante il funzionamento al minimo. Sotto carico medio, il consumo sale a quasi 60 watt. In questo modo, il sistema è abbastanza efficiente nel funzionamento quotidiano e allo stesso tempo molto potente. Durante i picchi di consumo, l'alimentatore da 120 Watt deve fornire fino a 92 Watt. Questo non sovraccarica l'alimentatore ed è sufficientemente dimensionato.

Verdetto - Un PC aziendale silenzioso e potente
Con il Primestation Pulsar, Prime Computer offre uno straordinario PC aziendale nel suo portafoglio. Il case, progettato completamente in casa, è riuscito a convincerci nel test, dimostrando che il componente di raffreddamento passivo funziona bene. Questo fa sì che il dispositivo offra un vantaggio per quei clienti che considerano i bassi valori di emissioni il fattore decisivo per il loro acquisto. Allo stesso tempo, il sistema è anche in grado di ottenere un consumo energetico moderato nonostante il suo potente AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5750Gpotente processore AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5750G. Tuttavia, è bene sapere che l'APU sarebbe in grado di fornire prestazioni più elevate in un sistema convenzionale, dato che Prime Computer limita il consumo massimo di energia a 45 watt.
Il processore octa-core nativo offre prestazioni solide, che si traducono in un sistema veloce nelle operazioni quotidiane in ufficio. A questo contribuisce anche la veloce unità SSD NVMe, che non lascia praticamente nulla a desiderare con la sua velocità di trasferimento dati stabile. L'AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5750G offre anche funzioni di sicurezza aggiuntive che sono apprezzate dai clienti aziendali e spesso influiscono sulla decisione di acquisto. Sfortunatamente, con la AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 è presente solo una iGPU, che non è in grado di competere con le schede grafiche dedicate, quindi gli acquirenti dovrebbero esserne consapevoli.
Con Primestation Pulsar, Prime Computer offre un PC aziendale potente e completamente silenzioso che garantisce anche un funzionamento sostenibile e un'impronta ecologica con un bilancio positivo di CO₂.
La quantità di connessioni incluse è buona, anche se il loro posizionamento sul retro le rende meno adatte se si devono gestire spesso chiavette USB o schede SD. L'unico modo per utilizzare queste ultime è comunque la deviazione tramite un adattatore USB. La mancanza del supporto Thunderbolt è dovuta alla piattaforma utilizzata, poiché gli attuali chipset B550 non offrono questa opzione. Questo potrebbe cambiare con i nuovi processori Raphael, alias Ryzen 7000, ma non è chiaro se Prime Computer offrirà un aggiornamento del Primestation Pulsar in futuro. Per il nostro sistema di prova è necessario pagare 2.250 Euro (~$2405). Sebbene sia un prezzo elevato, il produttore offre un sistema che attualmente non ha eguali sul mercato. Un aspetto positivo per i clienti svizzeri è che il produttore è in grado di rispondere molto rapidamente alle richieste di garanzia se ci si trova in Svizzera, mantenendo la perdita di tempo produttivo molto bassa.
Non ci sono molti dispositivi concorrenti in grado di tenere il passo del Primestation Pulsar. Spesso non sono silenziosi e, se lo sono, le loro prestazioni non sono in grado di tenere il passo. I PC di Minisforum offrono velocità simili, in particolare il modello EliteMini HX90 o l'EliteMini B550. Quest'ultimo dovrebbe anche essere in grado di equipaggiare l'AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5750G e, opzionalmente, di espanderlo con una GPU desktop dedicata.
