Abbiamo ricevuto una workstation compatta da 19 pollici da Comino, che è equipaggiata con quattro Nvidia A6000 e un AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3975WX. Inoltre, c'è un raffreddamento a liquido, che dovrebbe tenere sotto controllo sia la CPU che le GPU. Abbiamo dato un'occhiata più da vicino al sistema e spiegato i pro e i contro.

Il produttore Comino ci ha inviato la workstation GRANDO RM V2-S per la recensione. L'intero sistema è stato imballato in una robusta cassa di legno con un sacco di imbottitura, in modo che il sistema arrivi integro. Soprattutto con i PC pronti all'uso che sono anche dotati di un sistema di raffreddamento ad acqua, un imballaggio sicuro e stabile è un must. Qui Comino ha già fatto tutto bene. Ma ora passiamo al sistema stesso. Incorporato c'è unAMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3975WXcon un totale di 32 core CPU e thread. Quindi, questo processore è attualmente la seconda CPU AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro più veloce. Comino installa 4 schede grafiche Nvidia RTX A6000 in questa configurazione. Benchmark del processore - 32 core e 64 thread

IlAMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3975WXè un vero mostro informatico con i suoi 32 core. Solo in alcuni benchmark il AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3995WX distinguersi nei test multi-core. Il vantaggio prestazionale della workstation Comino GRANDO sta chiaramente nel raffreddamento integrato. Questo assicura che il 32-core possa richiamare le prestazioni ottimali e possa quindi battere il 64-core di AMD, presumibilmente più veloce. Comino GRANDO RM V2-S nel multi-loop Cinebench R15

Il concetto di raffreddamento appositamente sviluppato assicura una buona performance, che abbiamo già visto nei benchmark della CPU. Ma anche sotto carico permanente, il raffreddamento non raggiunge i suoi limiti. Così, tutti i punteggi del Cinebench R15 multi-loop sono più o meno alla pari con qualche piccola fluttuazione. La workstation domina le 50 corse con una media di 7.121 punti.

Prestazioni dell'applicazione

Nei benchmark delle applicazioni, la workstation Comino GRANDO RM V2-S può dominare se il software è anche in grado di recuperare le prestazioni di tutte le schede grafiche. Il test LuxMark mostra molto chiaramente quali prestazioni ci si può aspettare. Negli altri benchmark, il numero delle quattro Nvidia RTX A6000 purtroppo non mostra a vantaggio. A seconda del test di rendering, a volte Nvidia e a volte AMD beneficiano delle prestazioni.
La memoria di massa installata del nostro campione di test comprende 2 TB e offre velocità di trasferimento molto veloci grazie al protocollo NVMe. Avevamo anche 512 GB di memoria di lavoro DDR4, che è assolutamente eccessiva per i normali carichi di lavoro. Chiunque ordini una macchina con questa quantità di memoria di lavoro dovrebbe sapere come usarla.

Prestazioni 3D

Che una workstation non dovrebbe essere utilizzata principalmente come piattaforma di gioco diventa chiaro quando si dà un'occhiata più da vicino ai test di gioco in dettaglio. Soprattutto nei due giochi Far Cry , il nostro campione di prova ha enormi problemi con i frame rate giocabili. Le cose sembrano un po' meglio negli altri giochi che abbiamo esaminato, anche se le prestazioni della Nvidia RTX A6000 sono a volte chiaramente dietro la Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090. Inoltre, il supporto multi-GPU manca completamente nei giochi, quindi solo una delle quattro GPU potrebbe essere utilizzata. Tuttavia, se si disabilitano tre delle quattro schede grafiche, le prestazioni della Nvidia RTX A6000 usata singolarmente aumentano significativamente. Qui diventa molto chiaro che Windows non dovrebbe essere la prima scelta come piattaforma per le multi-GPU.

Comino GRANDO RM V2-S si raffredda sorprendentemente bene

Il concetto di raffreddamento della postazione di lavoro Comino GRANDO RM V2-S è unico. Sia il AMD Threadripper Pro 3975WXcosì come i quattro Nvidia RTX A6000sono raffreddate da un sistema di raffreddamento a liquido appositamente sviluppato. Molto sorprendente è l'uso di un singolo radiatore da 360 millimetri (~14.2 in). Inoltre, tre ventole da 140 millimetri (~5.5 in) sono installate nel case per condurre il calore residuo fuori dal case. Per questo, devi dare un'occhiata più da vicino alla costruzione del case, perché il sistema non dovrebbe essere usato senza il pannello laterale montato, perché altrimenti la pressione delle ventole non è sufficiente a forzare l'aria attraverso il radiatore.

Il 32-core si scalda fino a un massimo di 69 °C (156,2 °F) nello stress test con Prime95. Se avviamo anche FurMark, il processore riscalda fino a 73 °C (163,4 °F), anche se notiamo 57 °C (134,6 °F) per la scheda grafica. Tuttavia, FurMark usa solo una GPU sotto carico. Varie impostazioni per cambiare questo sono state provate senza successo. Con altri strumenti, tuttavia, è stato possibile caricare tutte le schede grafiche allo stesso tempo per verificare se il raffreddamento è in grado di raffreddare tutti i componenti nonostante il singolo radiatore. In effetti, questo è possibile. Tuttavia, le temperature delle schede grafiche salgono a un po' più di 80 °C (176 °F), che è ancora ben all'interno della zona verde. Le prestazioni estremamente elevate hanno anche uno svantaggio

La postazione di lavoro Comino GRANDO RM V2-S stabilisce nuovi massimi nel consumo di energia. Anche in idle, il nostro dispositivo di misurazione mostra poco più di 200 watt. Non appena iniziamo Prime95, aumenta e raggiunge una media di 580 watt. Ma questo non è abbastanza, perché quasi 716 watt devono essere forniti durante il gioco. Abbiamo misurato una media di 1.880 watt nello scenario peggiore in cui carichiamo la CPU e le GPU al 100%. Tuttavia, il massimo che gli alimentatori devono fornire è fino a 1.940 watt. Il Comino GRANDO RM V2-S non è una semplice stazione di lavoro pronta all'uso.
