Most of the core strengths of the 7610 model are still present and correct. The 3K display remains a cracker, the sound system can wake the dead, and it’s great to have three GPU options. The 16 Plus is still good value, too, with both the optional Nvidia GPUs being notably cheap upgrades. On the other hand, the numeric keyboard has vanished, you can’t add a second SSD or upgrade both RAM cards, and the barrel power jack should surely have been replaced by a second Type-C port – especially since Dell doesn’t bundle a DC charger. The pros far outweigh the cons of this Dell Inspiron 16 laptop and the price is justifiable. Compared to the previous AMD-based Inspiron 15, this generation offers a larger screen, improved inputs and audio, and a bump in overall performance, while still remaining compact and lightweight for what it is, as well as ergonomic and efficient on battery. It's a pitty Dell don't offer a better display for this series, though.

It's good at various scenarios, however, there are certainly better specialty laptops out there. Should you want something made specifically for content creation or video editing, a MacBook Pro or 2-in-1 laptop with a stylus pen for drawing would serve you better. If you don't want a specialty laptop and prefer something that can handle work, school, and entertainment with aplomb, get the Inspiron 16 Plus 7630. I highly recommend it. Plus it's fairly cheap. There isn't much hardware customization as mentioned earlier. You can choose to get the 32GB RAM model which costs $1,800. Or you can shave the price down to as low as $1,200 by opting for Intel UHD Graphics. No matter how you configure the system, 1TB of storage comes included. And, if your budget allows, go with the 32GB of RAM models. You'll definitely appreciate the extra performance.

Precedentemente disponibili solo sui portatili da gioco di fascia alta, i pannelli mini-LED stanno iniziando a diffondersi anche nelle opzioni multimediali più mainstream, tra cui la serie Dell Inspiron. Questo modello in particolare è interessante perché è uno dei primi convertibili da 16 pollici ad offrire un touchscreen mini-LED da 2,5K.
Precedentemente disponibili solo sui portatili da gioco di fascia alta, i pannelli mini-LED stanno iniziando a diffondersi anche nelle opzioni multimediali più mainstream, tra cui la serie Dell Inspiron. Questo modello in particolare è interessante perché è uno dei primi convertibili da 16 pollici ad offrire un touchscreen mini-LED da 2,5K.

La sua linea di prodotti comprende desktop, notebook, sistemi di archiviazione, monitor, server, stampanti, elettronica di consumo e periferiche. Dell offre laptop adatti a varie applicazioni, come laptop aziendali, laptop da gioco, ultra portatili e workstation. I laptop aziendali Dell delle serie Latitude e Precision sono un'opzione per utenti professionali e aziende.

AMD Vega 7:
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU: Scheda grafica per laptop di fascia alta basata sul chip Ampere GA106 con 3072 core. Disponibile in diverse versioni con un TDP da 60 a 115 Watt.
Intel Arc 8-Core: Scheda grafica integrata basata sull'architettura Xe LPG (simile alle GPU Arc dedicate, ma con un focus sull'efficienza). Fornisce tutti gli 8 core Xe (128 motori vettoriali Xe) e 8 unità di ray-tracing.
Queste schede grafiche sono paragonabili alle entusiasmanti schede grafiche desktop, come la 9800M GT. Le schede hanno un core simile alle relative schede desktop, ma hanno un clock inferiore e spesso hanno processori con meno ombre. Intel Raptor Lake-H:
i7-13700H: CPU mobile basata su Alder Lake con 6 core ad alte prestazioni e 8 core efficienti. I core ad alte prestazioni offrono l'hyper threading, che porta a 20 thread che possono essere elaborati. La CPU ha un clock fino a 5 GHz. Rispetto all'i9-13900HK, non è supportato l'overclocking facile, ma è invece supportato il set completo di funzioni di gestione vPro.
Intel Meteor Lake-H:
Ultra 7 155H: Un chip Meteor Lake di fascia alta che ha debuttato nel dicembre 2023. Questo processore Core Ultra di 1a generazione è arrivato a sostituire i chip Core di 13a generazione; ha 16 core (6 + 8 + 2) e 22 thread a disposizione. I core Performance, che sono 6, funzionano fino a 4,8 GHz, mentre i core Efficient, che sono 10 (8 core principali più 2 extra che si trovano nell'isola Low Power), funzionano fino a 3,8 GHz. La NPU AI Boost integrata offre due motori Gen 3 per l'accelerazione hardware dei carichi di lavoro AI. Il consumo energetico "minimo assicurato" di questo processore laptop è di 28 W, mentre il consumo energetico Turbo dovrebbe rimanere entro i 115 W.
