The Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 comes close to being the best big-screen laptop we've seen this year. There's nothing much to fault about the screen, the core design or the performance, and its NPU and connectivity should keep it relevant for years to come. Yet the keyboard and general usability aren't quite at the same level, acting as a drag on the overall experience. If you can get used to the off-kilter position and shallow travel, you'll find a serious productivity machine with epic stamina. If not, you might be left wondering how Samsung got so much right, yet missed something so crucial.

We’ve seen a lot of interesting new ultrabooks released in 2024, and while the Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 doesn’t traverse much in the way of new ground, it remains an excellent Windows laptop for those after a Windows-based alternative to a MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen and convertible powers. To all intents and purposes, it looks like a MacBook Pro with an aluminium frame and reasonably similar input selection, while its large 16-inch AMOLED panel comes with deep blacks, a responsive touchscreen and seriously accurate colours. In addition, its Intel Lunar Lake chip is also rather beefy, and its recorded battery life is exceptionally close to Apple’s own claims.

I really like the way the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 feels in hand. It’s so thin and reasonably light for a laptop with a spectacular 16-inch OLED display. And it’s also very well-built, and it gets great battery life. There’s a lot to like here. But when you buy such a large laptop, you tend to want more performance. The Galaxy Book5 is fast enough as long as you’re doing typical productivity tasks. But it’s not the gaming and creator’s laptop that many larger machines represent. And the keyboard is really disappointing. For those that really like the idea of a large-format laptop that is still easy to pack around, however, the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 delivers just enough value to make it worthy of recommendation.

However, it doesn’t make any effort to fix the flaws of the previous generation. There’s still nowhere to properly stow the S Pen while on the move, and the keyboard will absolutely divide opinion. Samsung’s software suite might be extensive, but a lot of it will be lost on you if you don’t own a Galaxy smartphone, and desktop performance hasn’t really improved enough to justify an upgrade from the previous generation.

The Galaxy Book 5 Pro is a solid laptop with plenty to recommend, but there are just a few too many weaknesses for a laptop at its price point. There’s no question that the Samsung name carries some weight, and if you are deep in the Samsung ecosystem, that changes your value proposition, but for most people, there are better alternatives. This is partly due to the highs for the Book 5 Pro not being sufficient to tip back the scales against its negatives. The display is bright and vivid, but not overwhelmingly, with options like the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x beating it on both counts for much less. Twelve hours and twenty-five minutes of battery life is enough, but not near the top of the charts in 2025, where numerous laptops go to 15 hours and beyond.

There’s no question that the Samsung name carries some weight, and if you are deep in the Samsung ecosystem, that changes your value proposition, but for most people, there are better alternatives. This is partly due to the highs for the Book 5 Pro not being sufficient to tip back the scales against its negatives. The display is bright and vivid, but not overwhelmingly, with options like the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x beating it on both counts for much less. Twelve hours and twenty-five minutes of battery life is enough, but not near the top of the charts in 2025, where numerous laptops go to 15 hours and beyond.

It combines great build quality with a beautiful 16-inch display and a power-sipping Intel Lunar Lake processor. Lunar Lake is still a sticking point: Some people will want more top-end CPU performance for multithreaded CPU tasks, and Lunar Lake can’t deliver that. Aside from that, the main concern is the price. This is a fairly premium laptop experience overall, but the retail price of $1,649 is still on the high side for a laptop. More importantly, the 360 model is only $50 more at $1,699 and it includes a 360-degree hinge as a well as a bundled S Pen. For an extra $50, it’s hard to argue with that value.

This 16-inch laptop can happily handle photo and video editing, as well as some light gaming. AAA games like Indiana Jones certainly aren't happy, but older or less demanding titles are handled well by the Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro. Sure, this slender laptop doesn't exactly count as ultraportable as it's 16 inches, but the portability is enhanced by that excellent battery life. The Samsung Book 5 Pro is just as good as the 360 model in that department, so you can play all day on a single charge. Although recharging isn't as great.

Il nome Samsung significa "Tre stelle" in coreano e rappresenta i tre figli del fondatore dell'azienda. L'azienda nasce nel 1938 come negozio di alimentari. Il 140V ha 8 core di architettura Xe² che funzionano fino a 2.050 MHz e 8 unità di ray tracing; è abilitato a DirectX 12 Ultimate e supporta anche tutti i codec video moderni. Se le recenti fughe di notizie sui punteggi dei benchmark sono indicative, le sue prestazioni di gioco saranno leggermente migliori di quelle di GeForce MX570.
Intel Arc 130V: Un adattatore grafico integrato che i processori Intel Lunar Lake di fascia bassa utilizzano. Si tratta di un successore diretto dell'iGPU Arc 7; ha 7 core di architettura Xe² che funzionano fino a 1.850 MHz e 7 unità di ray tracing a disposizione. Ci aspettiamo che il 130V sia veloce quanto la Radeon 780M per ottenere frame rate giocabili nella maggior parte dei giochi 2023 e in alcuni giochi 2024 a 1080p con impostazioni grafiche basse.
