Honestly, there's very little to complain about the ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition. Everything about the laptop is amazing but if there's one nitpick that I have to choose, it would be that the webcam is missing which is quite essential for the current circumstances. It's also a pity that ASUS Malaysia has no plans (yet) to import the advantage editions to Malaysia so we have no idea of how much the price tag is, making it difficult to do any point of comparison. But one thing is for sure - be prepared to spend a hefty amount of money if you want this bad boy.

It's aesthetically more refined than the regular Strix G models, it's a lot more powerful, touting in the range of 3080 notebooks in some loads, and sells for less. You might complain about the lack of certain features and those limitations that impact the performance in some games over what this could have theoretically delivered with faster RAM (and a MUX), and we'll discuss them in the detailed review down below. But despite these, I still feel there's very good value in this laptop and it should be on your short-list this year.

EN→ITThe all-AMD variant of the Asus ROG Strix G15 series is a very competitive multi-purpose performance laptop in the sub $2000 category, even if a slightly limited showcase of what the Radeon RX 6800M platform is truly capable of. It's aesthetically more refined than the regular Strix G models, it's a lot more powerful, touting in the range of 3080 notebooks in some loads, and sells for less. You might complain about the lack of certain features and those limitations that impact the performance in some games over what this could have theoretically delivered with faster RAM (and a MUX), and we'll discuss them in the detailed review down below. But despite these, I still feel there's very good value in this laptop and it should be on your short-list this year.

Based on the little information available in the ASUS review guides, this G15 Advantage might end up hotter than the standard Strix G15, which ran fairly hot already. That’s not really a surprise given the components are designed to run at higher power in the Advantage models, and we’ll need to further test how the improved thermal module copes with this increased power. Other than that, though, I’d expect the Strix G15 to be a competitive product. At this point, I don’t have a time estimate for the review, all I can say is that I don’t have a review sample yet, so a review won’t happen sooner than a few weeks. In the case of the Asus ROG Strix G15, the chosen slashes are on the screen and webcam. For the latter, you'd probably be better off buying a standalone over any Asus would have offered at this laptop's price, anyway. The screen's pretty meh, though.

Con il marchio Asus, l'azienda produce un'ampia gamma di prodotti, tra cui laptop, desktop, schede madri, schede grafiche, monitor, smartphone e apparecchiature di rete , sistemi completi e componenti PC per utenti finali.
Con il marchio ROG (Republic of Gamers), ASUS produce laptop da gioco conosciuti dai giocatori per le loro potenti specifiche, schede grafiche dedicate, display ad alta frequenza di aggiornamento e sistemi di raffreddamento avanzati.
Oltre ai giochi, viene offerta un'ampia gamma di notebook per esigenze e budget diversi, dagli ultrabook ultrasottili e leggeri ai versatili convertibili 2 in 1 e alle opzioni economiche. Nel 2023, Asus deteneva una quota di mercato globale del 7% del mercato dei PC.
La soddisfazione del cliente per i notebook ASUS riguarda le prestazioni, le caratteristiche e il buon rapporto prezzo-prestazioni dei notebook ASUS. Tuttavia, come con qualsiasi marca, ci sono segnalazioni occasionali di problemi come surriscaldamento, compatibilità dei driver o problemi di qualità costruttiva.
Queste schede grafiche sono paragonabili alle entusiasmanti schede grafiche desktop, come la 9800M GT. Le schede hanno un core simile alle relative schede desktop, ma hanno un clock inferiore e spesso hanno processori con meno ombre. I giochi moderni come Age of Conan, Race Driver Grid, Call of Duty 4, Mass Effect, o Gothic 3 dovrebbero scorrere in modo fluido con dettagli elevati (Crysis dovrebbe funzionare con dettagli medio alti).
AMD Radeon RX 6800M:
Scheda grafica mobile di fascia alta basata su un chip Navi 22 (nuova architettura RDNA2) e prodotta nel moderno processo a 7nm. Offre 2.560 core (40 CU) e utilizza 12 GB di memoria grafica GDDR6. Il clock di gioco è specificato a 2,3 GHz a 145 Watt TDP.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
