It’s true that Intel’s Core i7-13700H can deliver superior performance in CPU-intensive tasks. This, however, requires a sacrifice in graphics performance most potential owners won’t find appealing. The Swift Go 14 also struggles to deliver on battery life despite the lack of discrete graphics, which is a problem for a thin, light laptop. Acer’s inexpensive base MSRP of $1,099.99 helps to forgive these flaws, but it’s ultimately not enough to make the Swift Go 14 stand out from a crowded field of similar laptops.

EN→ITToday, we had a fantastic device in our office. With the exception of a few minor flaws, it is a product that will satisfy all your office and home needs. It has a sleek exterior, which is thin, light, and well-built. Thanks to the aluminum body panels and rigid structure, you can be confident and feel the premium spark of the product. Interestingly, its hardware varies from relatively powerful to a beast. Unfortunately, there is no dedicated graphics available, but you can still play most of the popular low-intensity games on the market. However, the best thing about it might just be the display. Unfortunately, we were not able to get ourselves the OLED option. However, its IPS unit is definitely not something to be messed with. Acer Swift Go 16 (SFG16-71)’s IPS panel has a WUXGA resolution, comfortable viewing angles, and a very good contrast ratio. It covers 86% of the sRGB color gamut.

EN→ITIf you’re going to buy an Acer Swift Go 16, I would advise waiting for a sale. While the core concept is commendable – a prestige laptop with generous core specs that costs less than much of the competition – some parts don’t quite land right when compared to the best laptops we’ve reviewed. Battery life well below all-day use is the main issue. And when combined with the so-so keyboard and touchpad, the ageing processor and reflection-distorting plastic screen cover, a little too much of the initial Swift Go 16 becomes mottled. If you find it selling below asking price, as was the case during our review window, the Acer Swift Go 16 could make a lot of sense, though, and save you hundreds off competing models.

EN→ITMaintaining a solid price point while offering premium performance isn’t easy, and the Acer Swift Go 16 further drives its excellence with a colorful panel, solid battery life, and decent speakers. While its panel could benefit from an increase in brightness, alongside its aluminum chassis feeling a tad thin in areas, it does more than enough to be worth its $1,199 price point. And if you’re a sucker for storage (and don’t want to have to open up a laptop to increase space yourself), it can be built with up to 8TB of SSD storage. If you want a 16-inch productivity laptop as an alternative, the Asus Zenbook S16 is an absolute killer. Otherwise, the Acer Swift Go 16 is still fantastic.

EN→ITDespite its low weight and thin profile for a 16-incher, the Acer Swift Go (SFG16-72) offers adequate performance even in longer loads. The trade-off in this scenario is the high CPU temperature. Our advice is to avoid the configurations with just 8GB soldered RAM. If you want your machine to be future-proof, 32GB of memory is a must. We like to see an upgradable Wi-Fi card and a pair of Gen 4 SSD slots. This is the right time to mention the up-to-date port selection with two Thunderbolt 4s and two Type-As. That sounds great for a slim machine! The 120Hz HDR OLED display (ATNA60BX03-0 (SDC418D)) is very good and even suitable for content creation. It covers fully the sRGB and DCI-P3 gamuts and the color accuracy is enhanced to an average dE result of 1.6 with the aid of our “Design and Office” profile. The max brightness almost reaches 600 nits in HDR mode. The Acer Swift Go is a capable thin machine with adequate performance, a superb OLED screen, an aluminum build, and many ports.

EN→ITFar from being all looks, the Swift Go 16 has strong core hardware paired with its pretty OLED screen, and at $1,150, it's a solid value proposition. For photo editing, heavy multitasking or most other productivity use cases, it's a great fit, though its graphics hardware doesn't quite do justice to that lovely display. The roomy, 16-inch screen means it's also a nice option for streaming movies or shows, or going deep down a YouTube rabbit hole, though you may want to opt for headphones for an audio experience that matches the visuals. That said, if you're looking for an OLED because you need to do a lot of GPU-heavy editing or rendering, or you want to show off the latest AAA games, you'd be better served by a machine with at least an entry-level graphics chip such as the HP Spectre x360 16, which is discounted right now to $1,240 as HP closes out its Spectre series.

EN→ITThe Acer Swift Go 16 is a whole lot of meh wrapped around a big and beautiful display. There’s no knocking the sharp, 16-inch OLED panel with its gorgeous contrast, rich color, and smooth refresh rate. But the rest of the system just lets it down. The build of the laptop is uninspired and not exceptionally good. It’s competitively light but not leading the pack in a meaningful way. The keyboard and trackpad make for a just fine user experience, but could definitely be better (though Acer seems allergic to adjusting its keycaps). And the speakers don’t do much to complement the display. The Acer Swift Go 16 steps up where CPU performance is concerned, but it’s thermals don’t let it keep as wide a margin as it ought to have against even some lower-power systems.

Intel Arc 8-Core: Scheda grafica integrata basata sull'architettura Xe LPG (simile alle GPU Arc dedicate, ma con un focus sull'efficienza). Fornisce tutti gli 8 core Xe (128 motori vettoriali Xe) e 8 unità di ray-tracing.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
Intel Arc 140T:
