The Realme C31 performed well as my daily driver. Switching between apps and multitasking on the Realme UI R edition was a decent experience, although I wouldn't suggest playing graphics-heavy games on such a phone as it's not designed to handle such activity. The phone looks modern and stylish and at first glance, it's tough to tell that it's actually a budget device. The 5,000mAh battery was also sufficient to deliver good battery life. The cameras on the C31 could've been better and ideally, Portrait mode should not have been restricted to just human subjects. If you plan on getting the Realme C31, I would suggest buying the higher RAM and storage variant since that price difference is not much and it should offer better performance in the long run. If you are looking for alternatives in the same price bracket, the recently launched Moto E32s (First look) might be an enticing option to consider.

Weirdly, 'Photo' made is labelled as 'Capture', too, which still makes sense but it's not as simple to understand as the word 'Photo' is. It's clean and simple camera app design but it's not the quickest to respond with it occasionally not responding to a press of the shutter button and scrolling through the options is sluggish.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: it’s amazing how much phone you can get for £129 nowadays, and if that’s your absolute budget then the Realme C31 should be on your shopping list. For the money, it offers solid performance, a decent screen and camera performance that punches well above its weight. Of course, if you can afford to pay more, then you should. Not, as it turns out, for the Realme C35, which probably doesn’t justify the extra £40, but the Nokia G50 will give you a lot more bang for your buck if you can stretch to £200. If you can’t? Well, the Realme C31 will do you just fine. And you can do a lot worse.

When considering buying a cheap phone that a) looks as good as the Realme C31 and b) delivers great battery performance for such a low price, you need to ask yourself ‘What’s missing?’ and in this case, there are a few omissions which might give buyers pause. These are; a low-resolution display, poor cameras, single-band Wi-Fi and 10W charging. All of these drawbacks might not be dealbreakers for you, and might even be forgivable. But, when you consider that the Realme C35 comes with a more detailed display at Full HD, supports faster dual-band Wi-Fi, and comes with a faster-charging 18W mains adapter, and – here’s the real kicker – it only costs about £20 more, suddenly the Realme C31 does not look like a bargain. The cameras should be superior as well as the Realme C35 comes with a 50Mp main sensor. If you had the budget to splash out for something a little more powerful, then the Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro 5G, priced at around £239, might be more to your liking – it’s a 5G phone with a display that refreshes at up to 90Hz, and you can fully recharge the battery from flat in just over an hour.

La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata.
