How future-ready do you really need to be? Frankly, if you are someone who updates phones every two years, a 5G device doesn’t make sense today given the networks won’t be in place so soon. The 4G variant, which starts at Rs 36,990, I feel is better value-for-money since it comes with the same specifications.

It’ll likely be several years before we see 5G in India, and by that time, you’ll have moved on to a newer phone. And that 12 GB RAM? You really don’t need that either. If you are going for this phone, get the 4G, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant that retails at Rs 39,990.

A bump-up in memory to 8GB/265GB will set you back INR39,990 ($555/€512) and the top-tier iQOO 3 5G, with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, retails for INR44,990 ($625/€575). In China, the iQOO 3 is only available with 5G across all of the memory tiers and with slightly different price points (but in the same ballpark).

Chip grafico per smartphones e tablets integrato nel SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. Qualcomm sostiene essere il 25% pi˘ veloce dell'Adreno 640 nel SoC Snapdragon 855 e offre il 50% in pi˘ di unit‡ di calcolo (ALU). Per Android dovrebbe essere una delle schede grafiche pi˘ veloci nel 2020.
Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.

SD 865: SoC di fascia alta per smartphone che è stato introdotto alla fine del 2019 e prodotto in 7 nm al TSMC (migliorato N7P). Integra un "Prime Core" basato su un'architettura ARM Cortex-A77 con clock fino a 2,84 GHz. Altri tre core di prestazioni sono anch'essi basati sull'A77 ma con clock fino a 2,42 GHz. Inoltre, sono integrati quattro core a risparmio energetico basati sull'architettura ARM Cortex-A55 con clock fino a 1,8 GHz. Oltre ai core del processore, il SoC integra un modem WiFi 6 (incluso il supporto mmWave a 60 GHz), un Hexagon 698 DSP (fino a 15 TOPS) e uno Spectra 480 ISP. Il controller di memoria integrato supporta ora una memoria LPDDR5 più veloce con un massimo di 2.750 MHz. LTE non è più incluso nel SoC, ma si deve usare il modem esterno Snapdragon X55 5G.
