L’OPPO Find N2 Flip, fa parte di una fascia di prodotti particolari, ovvero gli smartphone pieghevoli e possiamo dire che è un prodotto davvero ottimo con poche pecche, una su tutte la poca interazione con il display esterno. Per il resto il processore che fa ampiamente il suo lavoro con zero impuntamenti software. Comparto fotografico nella media, nulla che faccia gridare al miracolo, con il display da 120 Hz. Nell’utilizzo di tutti i giorni, la possibilità di piegare il dispositivo, riducendone gli ingombri, l’abbiamo trovata molto comoda, come per esempio il poter inserire lo smartphone in pantaloni / jeans dove un normale smartphone non entrerebbe o magari darebbe fastidio. OPPO Find N2 Flip è disponibile su Amazon prezzo di circa 1200 € certo non basso, ma sappiamo che la tecnologia che c’è dietro questo tipo di tecnologia è molto alta e il prezzo ne risente.

Se la qualità dello scatto è davvero buona, almeno rispetto agli altri pieghevoli dello stesso tipo, ci sono alcuni aspetti criticabili. Prima di tutto lo shutter lag è eccessivo: la foto viene scattata praticamente mezzo secondo dopo la pressione del tasto di scatto, un ritardo al quale non eravamo più abituati. Inoltre c’è anche una certa lentezza nel cambio di fotocamere, accompagnato da una dissolvenza a nostro avviso inutile ai fini pratici. Qualche ritocco è necessario anche sulle varie modalità: il ritratto, ad esempio, ha una sfocatura poco convincente e poco precisa ma soprattutto viene fatto partendo dal wide senza un minimo di crop. Questo ci costringe ad avvicinarci davvero tanto al soggetto da fotografare, e l’inquadratura non è quella che ci si aspetta da un ritratto solitamente scattato con un 50 mm o ancora meglio con un 85 mm. Tutte cose, come abbiamo detto, che un aggiornamento può risolvere senza problemi anche perché la base di partenza è davvero buona.

In un contesto attualmente ancora poco affollato come quello degli smartphone pieghevoli, OPPO Find N2 Flip ha l'indubbio vantaggio di offrire alcune feature che gli altri competitor non hanno, su tutte un display esterno grande e di ottima qualità e una soluzione quasi invisibile per mascherare la piega dello schermo principale. Che questo basti ad imporsi come nuovo leader del segmento è però tutto un altro paio di maniche: per quanto molto valido, OPPO Find N2 Flip è un dispositivo che non eccelle in nessun ambito particolare, che subisce i limiti di un formato comunque acerbo e che non si posiziona proprio benissimo sul mercato, con un prezzo elevato sia in senso assoluto sia in relazione ai pieghevoli usciti nei mesi scorsi e che inevitabilmente nel frattempo hanno subito un calo dello street price.

Quanto costa Oppo Find N2 Flip? 1.199 euro nella versione 8/256 GB. E sì, a nostro avviso è un prezzo assolutamente adeguato per uno smartphone che è davvero ottimo, in tutto: bel design, ottime prestazioni, due display di livello, autonomia interessante e poi fotocamera di alto livello. A noi è piaciuto davvero parecchio. Torniamo però alle domande iniziali. È comodo? Assolutamente sì. Il formato compatto gli permette di stare ovunque, tasca inclusa, senza dare fastidio.È utile? Beh, il fatto che sia pieghevole vi agevola in alcune situazioni come videochiamate, foto e video. Ha senso? Certo, soprattutto se volete un device super portatile senza rinunce.

OPPO Find N2 Flip: compatto e dal display esterno enorme! La recensione

OPPO Find N2 Flip si unisce ad un mercato di pieghevoli a conchiglia che è tutt'altro che saturo anzi forse ce ne sono ancora pochi. Questo non vuol dire che non ci siano alternative anzi gli smartphone a conchiglia al momento in commercio sono un diversivo decisamente valido sul mercato dei device mobile. Tante sono le caratteristiche di OPPO Find N2 Flip che lo relegano tra i più grandi del settore. Intanto possiede il display esterno più grande del momento e capace di aiutare a leggere meglio le notifiche anche se dovrà essere sfruttato meglio lato software. Stupisce la piega praticamente la più liscia mai trovata su un display pieghevole. Ottima anche la capacità di rimanere aperto ad angoli arbitrari consentendo casi d'uso che solo il Galaxy di Samsung aveva finora proposto. La durata della batteria è uno dei punti di forza di Find N2 Flip. Viene inoltre proposto con una fotocamera principale di spessore anche se la qualità della fotocamera ultra wide è più adatta a un telefono di fascia non propriamente premium. Poco logica la mancanza di registrazione 4K con lo schermo esterno acceso. Ci piace l'esperienza della fotocamera in generale soprattutto con la presenza della collaborazione con Hasselblad. OPPO Find N2 Flip è uno smartphone pieghevole solido nel suo complesso e maturo soprattutto a livello hardware. Ha una fotocamera principale superiore alla concorrenza e una durata della batteria più elevata rispetto ad altri device di questo tipo. E poi il prezzo di 1.199,99€, che seppur elevato, ci sembra equilibrato non solo per la tecnologia che propone ossia quella del pieghevole, ma anche per il fatto di essere il primo OPPO a conchiglia.

Sin da subito Oppo a dichiarato di non voler essere per forza di cose la prima a portare sul mercato questo tipo di soluzioni; l'importante è arrivare con un prodotto pronto e ben funzionante. Tanto che, lo sviluppo dei prodotti pieghevoli è iniziato addirittura ai tempi del lancio del primo Find X, quello dotato di quel sistema di sollevamento per nascondere le fotocamere. Beh, devo dire che l'obiettivo è stato raggiunto. Pur trattandosi di una prima volta questo Find N2 Flip è sicuramente un prodotto ben realizzato e convincente. Con qualche peccato di gioventù, certo, ma basteranno davvero pochi sviluppi per migliorarlo molto e renderlo ancora più appetibile. Ok ma quanto costa? Al momento il listino recita 1199 euro che, al netto di varie promozioni di sorta, è esattamente lo stesso prezzo di Galaxy Z Flip4 nella versione 8/256 GB. Parliamo quindi di una cifra evidentemente allineata alla concorrenza più stretta e che, grazie alle promo di lancio, considerando buoni sconto vari e il valore della garanzia aggiuntiva, scende fino a poco più di 1000 euro. Se siete poi parte della Community Oppo, fino al 28 febbraio è possibile registrarsi per provare il dispositivo per 20 giorni e decidere, al termine di questi, se restituirlo o acquistarlo al prezzo speciale di 999 euro.

Il prezzo di 1.199 euro con qualche promo al lancio, sarebbe anche giusto ma peccato che il Flip4 di Samsung intanto sia sceso sugli 850 euro. Faremo comuqnue un confronto fra loro due e anche il Razr di Motorola. Dispiace che in Italia non sia arrivato il foldable Find N2 perché durante la prova l'ho amato, se proponi un Flip così bello e confortevole da maneggiare allora chiedo di più in termini di funzioni software dedicate all'usabilità con una mano e soprattutto di sfruttare maggiormente il grande display esterno!

OPPO prende di polso la situazione e risolve tre dei più grandi difetti dei (pochi) pieghevoli nel formato "a conchiglia". Un ampio schermo esterno, una piega interna quasi invisibile e una batteria più capiente. È di fatto un ottimo smartphone pieghevole, venduto però ad un prezzo più alto di quello a cui sarebbe stato "corretto" posizionarlo visti i concorrenti. Bisogna però anche ricordarsi del periodo di rialzo dei prezzi in cui è stato lanciato. Con la giusta scontistica o un naturale abbassamento del prezzo questo OPPO Find N2 Flip può diventare indubbiamente un nuovo punto di riferimento dei pieghevoli nel 2023.

Oppo Find N2 Flip si va a inserire in un contesto di mercato dove a essere predominanti per la scelta finale sono principalmente la qualità e il fattore forma, ed in questo caso è al momento il migliore in circolazione. Un segmento dove i competitor sono principalmente due, ma con i quali Oppo può vantare delle specifiche che lo pongono in posizione predominante. Non è tutto oro che luccica, ovviamente, perché ci sono delle situazioni dove Samsung e Motorola sono migliori, come per esempio per Flip la certificazione IP, mentre Razr ha un display esterno che risulta essere quasi uno specchio di quello interno, consentendo di effettuare moltissime operazioni da chiuso. Il prezzo per possedere Find N2 Flip è impegnativo, ma allineato ai listini degli altri terminali di simili caratteristiche. Lo consigliamo? Si, senza dubbi, a tutti coloro che si vogliono distinguere possedendo uno smartphone nel suo genere unico, dotato di soluzioni tecnologiche di alto livello. La sfida è ardua e i competitor agguerriti, ma Oppo ha qualche carta vincente che nello specifico di questa tipologia di device è determinante e che gli altri non posseggono.

OPPO ha deciso di saltare a piedi pari nel mondo dei foldable a conchiglia con OPPO N2 Flip: uno smartphone forte delle ricerca maturata con i pieghevoli OPPO Find N/N2 e determinata a ritagliarsi una fetta di mercato in ecosistema attualmente monopolizzato principalmente da Samsung Galaxy Flip 4 in Europa. OPPO N2 Flip è uno smartphone elegante e ben progettato, con molte scelte decisamente azzeccate. A cominciare dall’ottima Flexion Hinge di seconda generazione che permette di avere un telefono zero-gap da chiuso e una piega sul display che è molto subdola sia alla vista che al tatto ed inutile dire che è l’elemento più critico di ogni foldable in quanto deve proteggere il display e rendere l’esperienza utente quanto più piacevole possibile. Nel complesso OPPO N2 Flip ci ha stupiti e convinti: è un telefono che si loda in primis per tutta la ricerca e sviluppo che c’è dietro, a cominciare dalla Flexion Hinge di seconda generazione che permette di avere una piega invisibile. Anche il display è di ottima qualità e tutte le altre specifiche sono soddisfacenti e di alto livello. La scelta del chipset potrebbe non fare felici tutti ma vi consigliamo di dargli una chance: questo Dimensity 9000+ fa girare tutto bene e non consuma tanto la batteria che ci permettera di arrivare a sera senza problemi. Ci auguriamo solo di avere più funzioni per il display esterno con i prossimi aggiornamenti software in quanto sarebbe uno spreco avere quel display così grande e non poterlo sfruttare come si deve. OPPO N2 Flip viene venduto in Italia al prezzo lancio di 1199€ ( lo stesso di Galaxy Flip Z 4 ) nella sola variante 8/256Gb con diverse promo di lancio per le prime settimane di acquisto. E’ disponibile in due colorazioni: Nero, più classico e satinato, e Purple Lit, più cangiante e “glamour“.

Il panorama dei Flip Phone ha oggi una nuova e valida alternativa. Oppo Find N2 Flip si è rivelato uno smartphone eccellente, dotato di due schermi di ottima qualità, di una fotocamera principale da top di gamma e di una autonomia superiore alla media per questa tipologia di smartphone. Anche le prestazioni non deludono, per uno prodotto molto ben ingegnerizzato e comodissimo da portarsi dietro. Di contro abbiamo un display esterno ancora limitato nelle funzioni, una cam secondaria che non tiene il passo con la principale e un sistema di sblocco non dei più reattivi. Il prezzo di 1199 euro (variabile con le promozioni di lancio) è elevato ma vicino a quelli di listino dei concorrenti, ognuno con i suoi pregi e i suoi difetti. Il panorama dei Flip Phone sta iniziando quindi a farsi più vario interessante, con smartphone diversi e disponibili in differenti fasce di prezzo, e questo Find N2 Flip è sicuramente uno dei migliori esponenti della categoria.

In questi primi giorni di utilizzo le impressioni sono di uno smartphone pieghevole di qualità, già molto maturo per quanto concerne il display, con una piega decisamente poco incisiva. If you decide to drop the cash on a Find N2 Flip, you’re getting a great phone though with a couple of clear advantages over flip-style competitors. The cover screen is much easier to use and highly functional, the main screen folds flat with minimal crease which results in less ingress of pocket junk; reducing risk of screen damage in your pocket. If OPPO decides to run a special on this for the end of the financial year, knocking $200 to $300 off; grab one. Yes, it’s a first-generation device from OPPO, but they’ve clearly learned a lot from the competition and delivered something pretty impressive and a competitive price.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip performed well in our battery protocol tests. It ranked just below the average of our whole database, edging out the Samsung Galaxy Flip4 for the best score among the flip devices we’ve tested so far. The Oppo Find N2 Flip autonomy performances were decent. The 4300mAh battery lasted slightly more than 2 days, which was much better than other flip devices. The autonomy when gaming was quite impressive. However, the autonomy that was measured when calling or on the go was poor. The charging experience was slightly below average, and the recovered autonomy from a quick 5-minute charge was low. The 44W charger took 1 hour and 27 minutes to fully charge the battery, while a quick 5-minute charge provided only 3 hours and 23 minutes of autonomy on average. Moreover, the residual consumption of the charger was high when the device was fully charged and still plugged in. The charge efficiency results showed that the device was well-optimized, considering that discharge currents for streaming videos and gaming during our typical usage scenario were quite low. In fact, the discharge current for gaming was the best we had measured so far. When compared to other phones in the Ultra-Premium segment ($800+), the Oppo Find N2 Flip’s performance was in the top half of the database. Its autonomy was decent, and even slightly above average. The charging experience was below average, but its efficiency was excellent.

Oppo has added a flip phone to its line-up with the Find N2 Flip, which given its novel format and price, finds itself among the Ultra-Premium smartphones in the DXOMARK database. With an overall camera score that was a few points higher than the slightly older Samsung Galaxy Flip4, the Find N2 Flip’s primary camera delivered good image quality in both photo and video mode, particularly with a good texture/noise tradeoff. Still images featured good exposure and a wide dynamic range, especially when shooting landscape scenes. What held the N2 Flip back from a higher ranking were the instabilities in exposure, white balance and autofocus, as well as poor video stabilization, especially when capturing scenes with motion. Zoom performance was limited, which could be partially attributed to the physical design of the phone. Captured detail was low at all tele settings, mainly because the device lacked a dedicated tele camera, something most Ultra-Premium phones usually have. However, the device’s flip design leaves little room for an additional lens. The Oppo also does not have a macro mode. Portrait results in bokeh mode were nice, but overall, the Find N2 Flip camera struggled to keep up with the best in class in the Ultra-Premium segment.

Truth be told, some folks in South Korea should unquestionably be worried and look over their shoulders as Oppo has given the Galaxy Flip not just a run for its money but outshines in many aspects. Having said that, it’s not the perfect foldable phone. The camera setup isn’t a flagship one and when someone is out there to spend Rs 90,000 perhaps won’t like to make any sort of compromise. The Oppo Find N2 Flip is priced at Rs 89,999 for the lone 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. At the end of the day, this is a foldable form factor, which isn’t really everyone’s cup of tea right now. Those who really want a flip phone would perhaps be fine to overlook a few misses in the Oppo Find N2 Flip. Oppo has done an extremely fine job with its first flip phone and could very well become the first choice for those who want this kind of phone. Oppo hasn’t completely knocked it out of the park but has cleared the ropes handsomely.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip display offered a satisfactory experience, with a strong showing in color rendering in all lighting conditions. When checking static content or viewing images, the Oppo Find N2 Flip proved to be particularly good in indoor conditions, with colors and brightness particularly well adjusted, making the screen very readable. When using the device to watch HDR10 videos, our testers observed that the brightness was much too low to ensure comfortable viewing, and that the user might have to manually adjust the brightness adaptation. But the testers did not observe any HDR boost to improve the viewing of contents. The display appeared to sharpen details, but sometimes that would result in texture artifacts. During our outdoor tests in direct sunlight, our experts observed that the screen did not reach the 1600 nits of maximum brightness advertised in the specifications, and that the High Brightness Mode did not activate soon enough, which would impact readability outdoors. Still, the device reached 1350 nits in an extremely bright environment (>100K lux), even though this kind of lighting condition is rarely experienced, and High Brightness Mode can be improved with some tuning. This smartphone features an anti-reflection film, which not only reduced the visibility of the crease in all conditions but significantly improved readability outdoors.

With a DXOMARK Audio score of 131, the Oppo Find N2 Flip delivered a pretty good performance in our tests. As a playback device, it was was not quite as good as the foldable N2 with its large dimensions in its unfolded state, but it had the edge in recording, delivering surprisingly good results. The playback experience with the built-in speakers was pretty much free of artifacts and offered good localizability on individual sound sources. The sound signature was a touch dark, though. Overall, the Oppo did best when watching movies and gaming, scoring slightly lower in the music use case. As a recording device, it did equally well across all use cases, delivering a pleasant sound signature, even at high sound pressure levels, for example at concerts and shows. I’d say this is for those who don’t mind experimenting, are open to trying a foldable and don’t want a Samsung.

There's a lot to like about Oppo's approach to the flip phone. The vertical cover display is the big talking point, we think, offering a much more useful exterior screen than what we've seen from the likes of Samsung or Motorola, even if it does look a little odd. We still think the software could be optimised further to make better use of it, but it's a handy tool to have for quickly getting information and notifications up. The almost crease-less display is great, it's rich and vibrant and the gap-less design when closed makes it seem really neat. We'd love to see a hinge that holds better at different angles, and more features added to make use of the flexible display. A better ultrawide camera would be wonderful too, but on the whole the Find N2 Flip is a strong first album from Oppo. It's compact, attractive, fast, quick to refill and looks flippin' cool. Yes, that pun was intended. It also doesn't cost a hideous amount.

Competition is good for many reasons, but looking at the Oppo Find N2 Flip, there are two things in particular that stand out. The first is price. At £849 (around $1,025), Oppo’s foldable flip phone is £150 more affordable than Samsung’s comparable Galaxy Z Flip 4 was at launch in the UK, and that’s currently Oppo’s most serious competitor outside of China. (Although the Find N2 is releasing “globally,” Oppo’s definition doesn’t extend to North America.) Undercutting it on price like this is important, especially if Oppo can pressure Samsung to cut prices to stay competitive. Second is variety. Although Oppo’s foldable has the same overall form factor as Samsung’s Z Flip devices, which fold from a regular size smartphone down into a compact square to make them more pocketable, it has a much larger cover display for viewing notifications and controlling features. It means there’s a lot of potential here to do more with Oppo’s foldable without having to flip it open first. Yes, at the end of the day, you’re still going to be flipping open the phone for most tasks. But considering it undercuts Samsung on price with a very comparable set of features, the Find N2 Flip ends up being a surprisingly competitive alternative to the Z Flip 4 — so long as you trust Oppo’s durability claims.

Speaking of which, the Oppo Find N2 Flip can run the latest Android titles no worries, although the Galaxy Z Flip does offer slightly stronger performance. My only wish is for Oppo to improve the functionality of that massive cover screen. It's ideal for quickly interacting with apps like Deezer and WhatsApp and yet right now you only have basic media controls and reply options.
