80% Motorola Moto G Power (2021) review: Budget battery behemoth
Sorgente: Android Authority Inglese EN→IT
If you want a long-lasting 4G phone for under $300, the Motorola Moto G Power is an excellent choice. Its 5,000mAh battery packs enough juice to keep you going for more than a day at a time, and the 15W charging means you won’t spend too long at an outlet. The Snapdragon 662 offers enough punch to bounce between apps and videos, too. Motorola’s 6.6-inch display isn’t the sharpest, and neither are the cameras without good lighting, but the pros easily outweigh the cons. You can always take a look at the OnePlus Nord N200 ($239) or the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G ($279) as worthy alternatives. Both add 5G speeds to the equation, and the Galaxy offers an extra kick and longer software support for just $30 more. The OnePlus Nord N200 is one of the most affordable ways to hop onto T-Mobile’s fastest speeds. If you’d rather spend your money on another Motorola phone, you can save some money and nab the Moto G Play ($169).

Any sub-$300 phone is going to involve some compromises, and fortunately, the ones that the latest version of the Moto G Power makes aren't going to put many budget shoppers off. Yes, there are more powerful phones with better displays that don't cost that much more than the Moto G Power (2021). But the long-battery life of Motorola's phone continues to carry the day, especially for a phone that you can find for $250 or less. The cameras on the Moto G Power aren't world-beaters, but it'll produce good shots. And I actually like the look and feel of this phone — a surprise given the G Power's budget roots. Still, the reason to consider past Moto G Power models was its epic battery life, and I'm happy to report that continues with the 2021 edition of this popular budget phone.

If you’re on a strict budget and long battery life is a necessity, then look no further than the Moto G Power. However, I hesitate to recommend it to someone who doesn’t meet that description. You will be making sacrifices in order to get that $200 price and multiday battery life. The base storage is way too anemic and the speed is noticeably pokey.

The Moto G Power (2021) is a frustratingly mediocre smartphone. The hallmark feature is the same as its predecessor, with the new G Power touting three-day battery life on a single charge. You're also getting a refreshed design and a higher-resolution camera, but that's where the improvements end. The 2021 variant of the Moto G Power has a lower-res 720p display, less storage and RAM, and ships on outdated software. Motorola missed the mark with this one.

If you ultimately decide that it’s best to choose a different budget phone, the Samsung Galaxy A13 5G ($249) is likely your best bet. It packs the same 5,000mAh battery with a sleek, modern design, a better 50MP primary camera, 5G support, and higher RAM and storage options. It’s a little pricier, but the upgrades and Samsung’s excellent software support make it well worth paying the extra. If you want another 5G-enabled alternative, the Nokia X100 ($252) is a little closer to the Moto G Power in price. It offers a smaller battery but solid 18W charging, a Full HD+ for better media viewing, and an ultrawide camera. There’s also the OnePlus Nord N20 ($282), which trades a 5,000mAh battery for a 4,500mAh option with 33W wired charging. It upgrades to a 64MP primary camera and carries 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage in its lone configuration.

The Motorola Moto G Power (2022) isn’t the worst option for someone who needs a new phone on a limited budget, but it’s hard to recommend given the numerous gripes. It packs a solid camera setup, an IP52 rating, and a (nominally) smoother 90Hz display. However, there’s no 5G support, the processor has received a downgrade, and the wired charging is significantly slower than last year’s model. It’s ultimately a case of a few minor steps forward and some highly questionable larger steps back for Motorola. In addition, the lack of updates beyond Android 12 limits its long-term value. The phone can perform most basic tasks such as calls, texts, movies, social media, or light browsing. This is a phone that is not meant for someone who enjoys serious gaming and multitasking. So, if you are that person, you should really go for something like Moto G71 or the flagship Moto Edge X30. Alternatives such as the Moto G51 should vastly improve the performance and user experience. But if you don’t need such high-end specs and just want something for entertainment and general uses, then the Motorola Moto G Power 2022 phone is worth your money. Another plus point of this phone is that it can give 2-day battery life in general use.

Overall, Oppo's first foldable phone, the Find N, makes an excellent first impression with its spot-on size or "golden folding ratio" as the company calls it that makes it almost as easy to lug around as a Z Flip, and yet offering much more. The superior camera hardware didn't translate to much better pictures than those from the direct Z Fold 3 or Mate X2 competitors, at least in daylight, but the photos come out nice nonetheless, as does the 4K video recording and time-lapse mode. Battery life and charging times of the Find N are very good, too, unless you browse or game on the main screen for hours. Above all the Find N virtues that we found in the course of this review, however, towers the main display with the best image quality and the most subtle crease on a foldable phone so far, where the new tailored for multitasking ColorOS interface shines bright, productive, and entertaining. It's also disappointing that this phone ships with the older Android 11 version, and Motorola only promises one major update in the future.

We’re going to ignore the lack of NFC and 5G connectivity for one reason, the phone is only currently only slated to launch through Metro by T-Mobile. If the phone had more widespread availability, we might feel a different kind of way about it, but it’s really not much to be concerned about. But to put it plainly, you should look elsewhere if you want a cheap Android phone. There are better options out there like the Galaxy A32 5G which is a little more expensive. But even Motorola’s G Play (2021) is a better alternative than the G Power (2022). It’s really disappointing and frankly, depressing, to see how far Motorola has fallen. But as long as the company continues to release cheap phones under $200, they’ll continue to see rises in sales until something else comes along.

The 2022 Moto G Power is a good no-frills phone that won’t break the bank. It handles basic tasks with ease, doesn’t have bloatware, and can easily get you through a day between charges. That said, we would have liked to see a 1080p screen (even at the expense of the 90Hz refresh rate) and wish Motorola had either shipped the phone with Android 12 or committed to two future OS updates. Still, it's a good value for the price, offering longer battery life than the $159.99 Moto G Pure and stronger camera quality than the $169.99 Moto G Play. If you're willing to spend a bit more, however, the $279.99 Samsung Galaxy A32 5G offers the best bang for your buck, with even better camera quality, stronger software support, and 5G connectivity, making it our Editors' Choice.

Sorgente: Tom's Guide Inglese EN→IT
If you want a long-lasting phone above any other feature, the Moto G Power has been the device to get, and the 2022 model lives up to that reputation. Unfortunately, the MediaTek chipset powering the Moto G Power (2022) is a big step back from previous editions, making it feel more like a phone that sacrifices solid features for a lower price. Further complicating matters is the fact that the Moto G Power (2021) is still available and — because of its more powerful processor — a better option for a long-lasting phone than its successor. Yes, the Moto G Power (2021) will be stuck on Android 11, while buyers of the 2022 edition can expect an Android 12 update. But the 2021 phone didn't suffer from the noticeable delays in app launches that I saw when testing the Moto G Power (2022). Put another way, if you were to lay down the two most recent Moto G Power models in front of me, I know which one I'd pick up. And in this case, newer does not mean better.

The Motorola Moto G Power 2022 is the first smartphone to utilize the MediaTek Helio G37 chipset designed for mid-range phones. As for the launched event, the phone was unveiled in November 2021, while the rumored price is around $200 (Rs 14,999) approx. Alongside this, you will also obtain the 6.5-inches IPS LCD display that also exceeds the 90Hz refresh rate display, and the pixel density is also adequate. Following that, you will receive a triple camera setup that leads by the 50MP primary snapper while the 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor also present as the secondary camera board. On the other hand, you also grab an 8MP selfie camera setup that provides decent photos and videos, while the Moto G Power 2022 smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 10W charging support. Besides this, you are getting the side-mounted fingerprint scanner that works swiftly, and you can pick this phone in the black only.

The Moto G Power 5G is a good budget-friendly phone. It has a simple design with a fast screen, fine performance numbers, and better-than-average battery life, but the cameras don't impress, and competing phones have better upgrade paths. The Pixel 6a offers excellent performance and packs one of the best cameras for the price, while the Nord N30 5G posts similar numbers across the board in a more appealing piece of hardware with better cameras. The Moto G Power 5G is a phone that brings its hardhat and lunch pail to work every day. Much like the Toyota Camry, it will do the job without giving you too many frills. Unfortunately, there are other phones in the same price range that do have the ability to electrify you while still being just as reliable an experience. If you love a relatively stock Android experience but are allergic to Pixels for some reason, pick one up. Also, if battery life is your main deciding factor for a smartphone, it might be worth a look. As for the rest of us, I’d suggest spending your money elsewhere.

When reviewing a phone, I normally can't wait to get back to my daily driver. However, with the Moto G Power 5G, I found myself using the phone a little longer than usual, as it works well enough that I wasn't exactly pining to get back to my Galaxy flagship. Battery life is good, the design is good, the camera is pretty good, and the software is mostly good. The Moto G Power 5G is a good phone, and I think that's saying a lot for a $300 smartphone. Yes, I wish the cameras were more interesting and tuned just a smidge more. I wish Motorola would give the phone more than one OS upgrade. I really wish charging was faster to match the battery life. With a name like "Moto G Power 5G," one expects the phone to really be about power and performance. While I'm not quite sure this phone exemplifies "power," I think it does a good enough job of offering just what someone would want from a phone in this price range.

The Motorola Moto G Power 2023 does compromise with the high-end performance, fast charging, additional camera lens, and better display quality. But still, if you look at it from the mid-range segment perspective, there is a whole list of things that falls on the positive side. Whether we talk about a fast refresh rate or additional 5G connectivity. But we all know that Motorola phones are incomplete with the near-stock Android experience, which is also seen in this device. But sadly, there’s no news regarding the official release on the global market since the device is currently available to the US-exclusive market. But if you are looking for a better alternative, you can get the Realme 10 Pro, and even then it would be an option when it comes to customization. Finally, choose the phone according to your wish.

Sorgente: Digital Trends Inglese EN→IT
There’s a lot to like about the Moto G Power 5G, but it’s also a letdown in a lot of crucial places. With the lock button/fingerprint scanner, I ran into numerous usability issues where simple things that would have only taken a second (such as checking the time) ended up being 15-second diversions. The cameras are great, especially for the price, but opening the camera app can cause a stutter that takes a few seconds to sort out as the Dimensity 930 processor tries to find its footing. And again, a phone without NFC in 2023 is just ridiculous. If you’re OK with having a phone that teaches you how to be patient, then the Moto G Power 5G is a solid pick. But it’s also worth remembering that there are plenty of other options. The Galaxy A14 5G offers a fairly similar experience for just $200. If you have a little extra cash to spend, the $450 Galaxy A54 is another incredible purchase.

The Moto G Power 5G works very well if you mainly plan to use the phone for calls, texting, watching videos and playing games. You get a lot for $300, such as a 6.5-inch 120Hz refresh rate screen and a phone that comes unlocked. If you are using Verizon, the Power 5G might be your only option for a device under $300 without being on sale, and if that's the case, then it's a pretty decent one. However if you are using AT&T or T-Mobile, I highly suggest looking into the OnePlus N20 5G or the OnePlus N300. Both phones have better cameras than the Power 5G, charge faster and include NFC. However Motorola beats OnePlus in security update support, which could be more appealing to someone that plans to use the phone until it breaks.

70% Motorola Moto G Power 5G review: The price of power
Sorgente: Android Authority Inglese EN→IT
In the end, this is the best Moto G Power model in several years, but Motorola wants you to pay the price for all its renewed power, both literally and figuratively. I can live with the $50 increase over the previous generation; that covers the 5G and increased RAM and storage, as well as all the other quality-of-life improvements. But the ads and tailored bloatware are a relatively high price to pay when stacked against the best in the affordable Android scene. Samsung’s Galaxy A14 5G ($199.99 at Samsung) is a great pick that offers several of the Moto G Power 5G’s best features for $100 less. It packs a similar camera setup, an outstanding update policy commitment, and a Galaxy S23-inspired design. Samsung’s budget device also hangs onto the headphone jack, though it does drop stereo playback for a single speaker. The OnePlus Nord N300 ($228 at T-Mobile) might be worth a look as well, especially if you crave fast charging speeds. It bumps from the 10-15W rates of many budget phones up to 33W and still comes with a charger in the box. It’s just a shame OnePlus only offers two years of any kind of software support. If you’re willing to stretch your budget a bit further, you can get quite a lot more for your money. The Google Pixel 6a ($299 at Amazon) mixes some of the best flagship Pixel features, like the Tensor chip, light, smooth software, and elite photography, all at a more than reasonable price. The cheapest Pixel also picks up an aluminum frame, which feels more premium in the hand than Motorola’s plastic chassis. We’re expecting the Pixel 7a to break cover soon with even more upgrades, too, in case you’re willing to wait. Samsung’s Galaxy A54 5G ($449.99 at Samsung) is another stretch pick, and it looks, feels, and often acts like a budget Galaxy S23. You also get Samsung’s four years of Android updates and five years of security patches, which is simply unbeatable compared to Motorola and even Google.

However, it suffers from a dreadful update commitment and a dated graphics renderer that severely limits its gaming prospects. The Moto G Power 5G (2024) takes a few more steps forward than back, but keeps finding new ways to stumble.

Sorgente: Tom's Guide Inglese EN→IT
Budget phones exist because people looking into them are willing to accept compromises. The Moto G Power (2024) isn’t a home run for a phone in the budget space, it has its share of compromises — like its dim display, so-so cameras, lackluster gaming performance, and limited software support. But hey, it has the best phone battery life under $300, fast charging abilities and a sophisticated design that’s surprisingly well built. The Nothing Phone 2a would be a logical recommendation of mine, but it’s yet to be publicly available in the U.S. Instead, it can only be purchased through its developer program. Therefore, the next practical option is the Google Pixel 7a, but then you’re forced to spend a lot more over the Moto G Power (2024). Knowing all that, Motorola’s phone is worth considering assuming you can live with the aforementioned trade-offs.

100% Motorola Moto G Power – 2024 Review: A great phone, and not just for its price
Sorgente: Android Headlines Inglese EN→IT
I can honestly say that I am both and not surprised at how great this phone is. I’m surprised because I was able to get such a smooth and Powerful experience on a $300 phone. A couple of years ago, getting a $300 phone would not have been as much fun. So, Motorola was able to pack a significant amount of power and utility into such an affordable handset. However, I’m not surprised because of how great the Moto G 5 g – 2024 is. That is a phone that also has a stunning design, great display, good performance, amazing speakers, and an overall great user experience. The Moto G Power – 2024 takes pretty much every aspect of that phone and pushes it a few steps further. The display is more balanced and colorful, the speakers are more spacious and high quality, the design is more premium, and the camera is better.

I switched to this $300 Motorola phone for two weeks and was pleasantly surprised

Motorola continues to impress with its affordable line of Moto G series phones and the G Power 5G has me questioning my past decisions to purchase expensive flagship phones. The phone offers everything I need to get work done, with an impressive host of gestures that make using the phone very efficient and smart. If you are looking for a first smartphone and want something affordable and can last long, or just want something with a big display in a sleek form factor, then the latest from Motorola is worth considering.

It's hard to top the 2024 Moto G Power 5G for the price—$300 gets you smooth performance, a large screen, reliable connectivity, extensive battery life, and NFC. The OnePlus Nord N30 has a better camera, but the Moto G Power is faster, lasts longer, and supports wireless charging, tipping the scales in its favor and earning the Moto our Editors' Choice award for budget-friendly Android phones. If you’re particularly interested in photography and can stretch your budget, the Pixel 7a is an excellent upgrade alternative and another Editors' Choice winner.

50% Moto G Power 5G (2024) review: Ads nauseum

Even for $300, I struggle to see how I'd recommend the Moto G Power to anyone over the competition. Samsung's Galaxy A25 5G is sold at the same price as this device, and even just on the software side alone, you're in for a better ride. If you're willing to spend a little more than $300, Motorola's own Edge from 2023 is constantly on sale for just $350, and from its display and processor to a much cleaner software experience, it's the better buy. And at $500 — $400 with any trade-in — the OnePlus 12R runs absolute circles around this phone. Motorola might've been a pioneer in making budget Android phones that were actually usable, but the landscape has changed a lot in the past decade. If Motorola wants any informed buyer to actually use a phone like the Moto G Power 5G (2024), it's going to have to try a little harder than this.

70% Moto G Power 5G 2024 review: Two steps forward, one step back
Sorgente: Android Central Inglese EN→IT
It's easy to get complacent with a yearly upgrade, especially if it's a lower-end phone. With the Moto G Power 5G 2024, Motorola went a little beyond expectations with its new design and upgraded specs. The vegan leather texture on the back is a nice touch, while the inclusion of 30W wired charging and 15W wireless charging see the affordable phone tiptoeing into flagship territory, punching way above its price tag. Gaming performance may be lacking and the camera output could be better at times, but you really can't expect to have it all in a phone that costs just $299. Still, despite its shortcomings, Motorola made some surprising changes and additions (NFC, anyone?) that add even more value to an already wallet-friendly phone. I wouldn't have much problem recommending this to anyone not willing to spend an arm and a leg on a new phone.

50% How good is Motorola’s $300 Android phone? I used it for a week to find out
Sorgente: Digital Trends Inglese EN→IT
Let’s return to the question I asked at the top of this review: How good can a $300 smartphone really be? In the case of the Moto G Power 5G (2024), the answer is “Not very.” Although there are things the Moto G Power gets right, it’s held back by the things it gets wrong — which ends up being a pretty lengthy list. Thankfully, the Moto G Power 5G (2024) isn’t a microcosm of budget smartphones in 2024. If you take a look around you — even at other phones from Motorola itself — you can find much better ways to spend your money. Consider the Motorola Edge (2023). Released in October 2023 for $600, the Motorola Edge is better than the Moto G Power 5G in virtually every manner. It has a much higher-quality OLED display, a more capable processor, 68W wired charging, great battery life, and a more reliable camera.

Moto G Power 5G (2024) Review
Sorgente: Phone Arena Inglese EN→IT
The Moto G Power 5G is a solid mid-range option for those looking for a reliable device with decent performance and great battery life. At its MSRP of $299 USD, it is definitely a compelling option, though it may face tough competition from other devices in its price range. A few comparable alternatives worth mentioning are the Samsung Galaxy A25 5G, as well as the OnePlus Nord N30 5G. My experience while testing this device was overall very positive, with smooth performance and impressive battery life. I wouldn't recommend it as a device you'd want to take your very important family photos with, but it definitely gets the job done in the right environment. However, if what you are looking for is a device that looks premium, will last you through the day, will be reliable at performing your everyday tasks, and is at a very reasonable price, the Moto G Power 5G (2024) is an option I could get behind.

Motorola:

Qualcomm Adreno 610:

Scheda grafica integrata (nello Snapdragon 665) basata sull'architettura Adreno 600.
