È uno smartphone caldamente consigliato sotto i 300 euro.

I’ve always liked Motorola smartphones for their great balance of price and quality, well-designed aesthetics, and good software and hardware optimization. It’s true that not all of the company’s models have been successful—some have been underwhelming or overpriced. I used to approach the Edge series with some caution, as the phones seemed attractive and functional but often had their share of compromises. However, I can say that the Moto Edge 50 Fusion is probably the most well-balanced of the three. The standout from the previous series was the Edge 40 Neo. The Edge 50 Fusion features a fantastic design, with a sleek, slim body available in eco-leather or eco-suede, a substantial 5000 mAh battery with fast charging, a great display, and a speedy, though mid-range, processor.

Motorola may have found a good match of style, durability, hardware and software, but it did not spend much time refining it. This is how we have what appears to be an unfinished product which is evidently visible upon launching the camera app or when watching video. Lacklustre camera performance aside, battery life isn't as good as some competitors. The same can be said about its raw performance, which is why we won't see this phone being a hit with the gaming crowd as well. The Motorola Edge 50 (Rs. 27,999 onwards), on the other hand, goes the extra mile, offering even better durability, wireless charging and a telephoto camera at a slightly higher price tag… on paper. Meanwhile, the OnePlus Nord CE4 (Review), while treading a thin line, managed to cover more bases and blew us away with its battery life.

Motorola has done an exceptional job with the Edge 50 Fusion smartphone. The device offers an appealing design, a stunning 144Hz curved display, and an impressive camera system. Its powerful chipset, excellent battery life, IP68 water and dust resistance, and 4 years of software support make it one of the best budget-range smartphones in the market. However, it’s worth noting that Motorola dropped HDR 10 support, which is slightly disappointing. Nonetheless, the 144Hz pOLED display more than makes up for this omission.

Unboxing the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, the cheapest phone in the Moto flagship family of 2024, with an early review of the camera tech, gaming performance, battery life and beyond. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is a decent all-round stock Android smartphone, boasting some rare features like IP68 water and dust resistance. But it's also up against stiff mid-range competition. The OnePlus Nord 4, Nothing Phone 2a etc also offer solid specs at a similar price. Still, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion has a satisfying software setup and a respectable enough camera, if conditions aren't poor. You do get a special enhance mode for tricky HDR situations and a night mode, which help out. Plus this Moto's battery life is dependable, even for more demanding users.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is one of the most well-rounded phones you can get for less than $600. It’s smooth, snaps decent photos, and lasts ages on a single charge. You also get a 68W charger included in the box, adding some welcome value to the overall package. It’s genuinely neck-and-neck between the Edge 50 Fusion and similarly priced phones; that’s how close the competition is. If you want a dazzling edge-to-edge display and extensive battery life with fast charging, this is the mid-ranger for you.

Motorola delivers excellent value with the Edge 50 Fusion. Vibrant design, a capable camera, and fast charging make for a package that makes you forget it’s a more affordable handset. There are still reminders that this isn’t a flagship, such as some rather irritating bloatware and a less than responsive camera app, but overall, it’s a strong contender in the mid-range phone market.

I wish I could give the Moto Edge two ratings because it’s a tale of two phones. If you’re forced to pay $550, I’m giving the Edge a 7 out of 10, but if you’re lucky enough to get it on sale for around $400, it’s an 8 out of 10. Aside from its display, the Moto Edge hasn’t stood out to me again this year. Thankfully, Motorola devices make for great carrier deals, so it's decent value for $3 a month through your cell provider. Otherwise, I’d look towards one of the many impressive smartphone options available for $550.

There is a lot to like with the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion. Granted yes there are some small bug bites being the camera and pictures taken in low light, but also not having expandable memory to lack of a 3.5mm audio – which for me isn’t a make or break issue but for some there could be alongside missing wireless charging which again isn’t a make or break issue for me, The Edge 50 Fusion does offer some pretty great specs for a relatively great price. I do like that Motorola are pushing the bounds a bit more with their devices and absolutely love the QR transfer from your old device to your new device and I hope this makes its way to many other devices because it’s just brilliant. Certainly I would say the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is worthy of consideration if you’re in the market for a new device that won’t break the bank.

The fact that a lot of my criticisms here are that certain elements are merely okay, rather than outstanding, says a lot about the Edge 50 Fusion. The general build, display and battery life all speak to a much more premium phone, while the performance and camera quality may not be as impressive but are still very respectable. The argument could be made that anyone with a more flexible spending limit should consider pushing a little higher and picking up our favourite mid-range phone, the Google Pixel 8a. The cameras are better, you get access to Gemini AI and software support is more extensive. If, however, you’ve got a strict budget of £400, I’m struggling to find any alternatives that will serve you better than the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion: it’s a whole lot of phone for a very tempting price.

The 2024 version of the Motorola Edge is a great all-rounder and we were left happy with it for the most part. That being said, it does not offer that much more than its predecessor besides incremental improvements to the performance, a brighter display, and a much longer battery life. It would be much easier to recommend the new Edge if it came with at least 3 years of major OS updates, but 2 years is almost shameful for a phone that costs a little over $500. And there's also the fact that you have some great alternatives to the Edge (2024) that offer just as much if not more for a similar or even slightly lower price tag. For example, you have something like the OnePlus 12R, which beats the Motorola Edge (2024) in terms of charging and battery life by no small margin.

Ok, so with everything I just talked about, this phone, the Moto Edge 50 Fusion for a starting price of 23,000, is definitely an excellent package with a gorgeous design, superb display, acceptable performance, battery life, and “not-so-optimized cameras” but still good enough for the price! The no. 2 problem with Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is stock availability! The one I have with me is a review unit, and I was able to get it before the launch, but if you want to buy the Edge 50 Fusion right now, after more than 1 month of its launch, the stock is just not there. So, I think these are the things Moto has got to improve because I see real potential here! In fact, Motorola has currently entered the Top 10 Android smartphone brands in India, with over 100% growth in 2023.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion repeats the performance it has put together on previous devices at this level, offering a broad range of skills for the money. Only those moments of touch-responsiveness gave me cause for concern, otherwise this is a good-looking phone, boosted by the addition of IP68 protection, and a good display for the price. There's sufficient performance to not leave you feeling like you're missing out, the bloatware is irritating but can be removed, leaving mostly a clean Android operating system experience. The cameras are good enough, while not offering all the bells and whistles that you'll get from a flagship device, but you're paying a third of the money here.

If there was one smartphone lineup that really surprised me last year, it was the Motorola Edge. Last year’s Motorola Edge and Edge Plus handsets both stood out as very solid options, with the former being a good higher-end midrange phone, while the latter was an excellent full-fledged flagship. Naturally, I’ve been looking forward to seeing what Motorola will do with the Edge series in 2024. The Motorola Edge (2024) is the first Edge phone to launch in the U.S. this year.

The Motorola Edge 2024 is a disappointing combination of excellent design and poor performance, coming in at a price that simply doesn't justify what you get. The slow processor affects too many things to make this a truly good experience and feels like a downgrade from 2023's excellent Motorola Edge line in nearly every way. It's a shame too because the design truly is superb.

The 2024 Motorola Edge has an appealing design and excellent battery life, but it's otherwise an unexciting retread. The display remains unchanged, performance is no faster, and the upgraded camera doesn't result in better photos. The Google Pixel 8a is the better buy for most people—it's more powerful, has sharper cameras, and promises more software updates over time. When you consider the fact that it also costs less, it's no surprise that it's our Editors' Choice.

There aren't a lot of bad things we would say about the Edge 50 Fusion from Motorola. It will leave most users happy with its impressive camera system, flagship-level display and powerful chipset. It even comes with outstanding water and dust resistance. Even some of its strongest competition, like the Galaxy A35 5G, cannot hold a candle to it, with only one year more of software support and a glass back panel as the two main benefits. Well, there's also the somewhat better battery life. But even if we have to address the worst part about the Edge 50 Fusion, which is its disappointing battery life, the fact that it comes with 68W of fast charging elevates that issue for the most part.

Forget the annoying name change – the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is a direct follow-up to the Motorola Edge 40 Neo, and a very strong one at that. It arguably doesn’t take quite enough of a step forward for the extra £50 Motorola is asking, with similar performance, a slightly larger body and dropped HDR10 support. However, it benefits from a sleek design and a nice 144Hz pOLED display. The camera is capable of taking speedy and vibrant shots, battery life is excellent, and it’s generally a thoroughly pleasant phone to live with day to day.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is undoubtedly a gorgeous device through and through. It is exquisitely made, and even though the bill of materials is not what would conventionally be considered particularly "premium," everything looks and feels very nice and falls into place. The IP68 ingress protection is also a great bonus to have. The display on the Edge 50 Fusion is also very solid through and through, perhaps with the exception of the lack of HDR support. We have nothing but praise for the hybrid stereo setup. The camera performance is pretty solid all around, too. We have to say that the biggest weak point on the Edge 50 Fusion specs sheet is probably the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. It doesn't offer ample performance in the CPU or GPU departments.

Thanks to its fruitful partnership with Pantone, Motorola has become a master of design over the past few years in the smartphone industry. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is a standout device under ₹25,000, offering a luxurious design, decent performance, and impressive camera capabilities. However, its 144 Hz display, while bright and fluid, lacks HDR support, which might disappoint content enthusiasts. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor handles daily tasks well but falls short in gaming compared to competitors like the OnePlus Nord CE4 and Nothing Phone (2a). The camera setup is a highlight, particularly the 50 MP primary and 32 MP selfie cameras, which deliver vibrant and sharp images. Battery life is serviceable with a 5,000 mAh cell and 68 W fast charging, though power users may need to recharge by evening.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is designed to be a cheaper alternative to the more premium [[Motorola Edge 50 Ultra]] and Motorola managed to achieve that more or less. The display of the smartphone has extremely less bezels with uniform bezels on the top and chin. The display is also equally premium and is also protected by Gorilla Glass. The camera and battery performance are also quite impressive. On top of all these, the smartphone is protected from dust and water. All these things make it an excellent phone for the price it asks for. However, there’s a con as well and it has to do with the chipset. The performance of the chipset is decent but could have been better, especially in gaming performance. Don’t get us wrong. The gaming performance is good, but other smartphones in the same price range offer a better chipset, which provides better performance.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is a handset that you should consider if you’re looking for a phone with a stylish and lightweight design, captivating display, decent performance, and capable primary camera setup. The phone ticks a lot of right boxes but it is hard to place it in any category as there are some better performers in each of the categories that it is good at within this price segment – OnePlus Nord CE4, Nothing Phone (2a), and Infinix GT 20 Pro. If you’re looking for a phone with better battery backup, you can go for Nord CE4, and if you’re more inclined towards gaming, GT 20 Pro should be a good choice. Having said that, as an overall package, the Motorola phone might be a good choice for those who want a clean UI, a slim and lightweight design, and a smooth, 144Hz display.

As this year’s entry point to the Edge range, the Fusion appears to get plenty right on first inspection. It looks and feels like a pricier phone, the display is especially easy on the eyes, and there’s a sizeable battery underneath that should translate to plenty of time away from the mains. Performance is a bit of an unknown right now, although the same chipset has proved perfectly capable in rival phones on sale for a similar price. I’ll want to take a closer look at image quality to see how it stacks up against the €349 competition, as processing has been a Motorola weak spot in the past. As affordable all-rounders go, though? The Edge 50 Fusion is shaping up to be quite the contender.
