Triando le somme, siamo quindi di fronte ad un notebook assolutamente valido e in grado di soddisfare le esigenze di un pubblico estremamente ampio. Anche il posizionamento è, a mio parere, molto buono, specialmente se consideriamo quello che sembra essere il trend dei prezzi delle soluzioni Lunar Lake attualmente disponibili. La versione nelle mie mani, ovvero quella con Core Ultra 7 258V, 32 GB di RAM, SSD da 1 Tb e Windows 11 Pro è disponibile ad un prezzo di 1599 euro, si passa poi a 1499 per la stessa configurazione con Windows 11 Home e si scende fino a 1299 per il modello con Core Ultra 7 256V, 16 GB di RAM e SSD da 512 GB che è comunque una configurazione interessante per la stra grande maggioranza degli utenti.

Overall, the Lenovo Slim 7i 14″ Aura Edition is almost identical to the Slim 7i 15.3″ version from last year. The most considerable differences are the new and better OLED display and the nicer, much easier to use trackpad. I feel most everything else is about at the same level, though the battery life on this laptop, seems to be better. I would recommend both laptops, but the 14 wins, for me, due to the OLED and better trackpad experience. Though, if you need a display larger than 14-inches, the 15.3″ version is going to suit you best. For OLED technology, I will sacrifice the size. The IPS panel on the 15 is great, but just not as great as this OLED.

If you want to edit images or video on the go, and prioritize compactness, light weight and long battery life over the fastest possible performance, the Lenovo Slim 7 15 Aura is a great laptop. It's fast enough to deal with heavy workloads, while still staying cool and quiet, and all the while you get to edit your content on a gorgeous screen with terrific color accuracy. Port selection is lacking, but sadly that's now par for the course with a laptop this thin. At least the two USB-C ports you do get are extremely fast, and able to max out even the very best memory cards and external SSDs you can buy. At the time of writing a Yoga Slim 7 15 Aura configured to the same spec as our review sample (product code 15ILL9) retails for around $1,400/£1,260. A 15-inch MacBook Air specced with 24GB of memory and a 1TB SSD, would cost $1,899/£1,899.

With a competitive price, great battery life and plenty of power for most daily duties, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition is a great ultraportable for anyone not willing to skimp on screen size. There’s better connectivity here than you’ll find on its close rivals, and that screen is wonderfully bright and colourful. You don’t have to be picky with software like you do on a Snapdragon-powered laptop, either. The spongey typing experience and mechanical touchpad feel a little out of step with Lenovo’s premium ambitions, though, and I’m not convinced the Aura Edition software is as mission critical as the firm makes out. It’s several hours short of the class best when away from the mains, and can’t match them for raw performance either. Then again, those longer-lasting laptops are either a lot smaller or cost considerably more – or both. If you’re on a more sensible budget, there’s plenty here to like.

As a general-purpose business laptop, the new Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i makes a very strong case for itself: The battery life is excellent, the keyboard is hard to fault, and the display is bright, smooth, colorful, and very color-accurate. The laptop itself is solid and well-made and the sound system is thoroughly on point. Taking a glass-half-full position we'd point out that the webcam is mediocre, the power button is in a less-than-optimal place, user upgrades are limited to the point of non-existence and you don't get Windows Studio Effects though we anticipate a driver update will eventually fix that problem. A little more in the way of ports wouldn't go amiss either though since the Yoga Slim 7i is still better than the MacBook Air in this respect we can't be too harsh on it.

It helped me get over my Intel grips and learn to love Lunar Lake with stellar battery life and impressive integrated graphics that apply to solid prosumer productivity and great gaming. Shout-out in particular to the connectivity — Lenovo adorning this system with all the I/O you need, while packing it with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 keeps wired and wireless connections nice and speedy. Plus, that keyboard and touchscreen combo feels great for getting stuff done. Look past the unnecessary tricks, and this is a great laptop.

Vantage is also is home to Lenovo's Smart Modes. There are a variety of different performance modes, but in addition to that, Vantage uses on-device AI to enable a variety of use cases. For instance, the Shield mode engages the webcam and other sensors in order to detect peeping toms that might be looking over your shoulder at the local Starbucks. Attention mode will disable notifications, turn down the volume, and even put the brakes on websites it deems can distract you for long periods of time so that you can focus on what needs to be done. Collaboration mode uses computer vision to set up camera auto-framing and video backgrounds when you're in video meetings. These settings can be turned on in the Vantage application and also be bound to hotkeys so they can be turned on and off without switching gears.

This Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition review was a hard one to write. Had this device come to me very early in the year, I may have had a different opinion. But something like the Yoga Slim 7x is slightly better and more unique, and I was expecting more from this laptop. Perhaps I set the bar too high? It has one significant advantage over the Snapdragon-based machines and that’s the seamless compatibility with all apps and games. The battery life is very long, especially given the high-res screen. The autonomous work on a single charge is enough for 13 hours of videos. Yep, the Lunar Lake chips aren’t thirsty at all. The Intel Evo “magic” also helps in this scenario. The keyboard is suitable for long hours of typing and the touchpad is accurate – nice! The port selection is fine for a thin machine – two Thunderbolt 4s alongside a Type-A port for better compatibility with external mice, keyboards, HDDs, etc. The machine feels blazing fast for work.

Intel Arc 140V: Un adattatore grafico integrato piuttosto veloce che, secondo quanto riferito, alcuni processori Intel Lunar Lake impiegano. Il 140V ha 8 core di architettura Xe² che funzionano fino a 2.050 MHz e 8 unità di ray tracing; è abilitato a DirectX 12 Ultimate e supporta anche tutti i codec video moderni. Se le recenti fughe di notizie sui punteggi dei benchmark sono indicative, le sue prestazioni di gioco saranno leggermente migliori di quelle di GeForce MX570.

Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
