HiSilicon Kirin 970

L'HiSilicon Kirin 970 è un SoC high-end octa-core ARM based per smartphones e tablet, introdotto con l'Huawei Mate 10 a fine 2017. Oltro agli 8 CPU cores (4x Cortex-A73, 4x Cortex-A53), il SoC monta anche un moderno adattatore grafico Mali-G72 MP12, un controller di memoria dual-channel LPDDR4 ed un modem LTE (4x4 MIMO, 5-band-carrier-aggregation, QAM-256, fino a 1.2 Gbit/s).

Il performance cluster ha un clock fino a 2.4 GHz mentre i quattro cores A53 power saving hanno un clock fino a 1.8 GHz. Le performance dovrebbero migliorare di circa il 20% secondo Huawei ed i consumi dovrebbero ridursi del 20%.

Sul chip HiSilicon c'è anche una Neural Processing Unit (NPU) dedicata per far apprendere le applicazioni molto più velocemente rispetto ai CPU cores.
