Intel 2357M

L'Intel Core i3-2357M è un processore ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) a risparmio energetico per portatili sottili e leggeri. La frequenza base di 1.3 GHz è relativamente bassa e la CPU non supporta il Turbo Boost per l'overclocking automatico. Grazie all'HyperThreading, la i7-2637M è in grado di gestire 4 threads in parallelo. Rispetto ai modelli con clock simile Celeron e Pentium, la i3 sfrutta la scheda grafica più veloce HD 3000 ed offre più features abilitate (come Quick Sync).

Il Sandy Bridge è il successore evoluto dell'architettura Arrandale. I miglioramenti principali sono l'implementazione del Turbo 2.0 (non utilizzato per i processing cores nella i3-2357M) e l'integrazione della scheda grafica sul core della CPU da 32nm.

L'Intel HD Graphics 3000 integrata ha un clock da 350 a 950MHz (Turbo Boost). A causa del clock rate più lento, rispetto alla HD Graphics 3000 nei processori da 35W e 45W (di solito con clock da 650 per i processori non LV), le prestazioni dovrebbero essere notevolmente inferiori.

Le prestazioni della CPU dovrebbero essere leggermente superiori rispetto ad una Arrandale Core i3 ULV con clock simile come il Core i3-380UM.

Il TDP da 17W (include la GPU integrata ed il controller di memoria) consente l'utilizzo della CPU 2637M nei piccoli subnotebooks.
