Intel Celeron M 900

L'Intel Celeron Intel Celeron 900 è un processore mobile single core per portatili economici. Si basa sul core Penryn (come i processori Core 2 Duo Dual Core) ma molte features ed un core sono disattivati. L'assenza di funzioni di risparmio energetico, come lo Speedstep, comportano una limitata autonomia della batteria (rispetto ai portatili che montano Core 2 Duo). Inoltre, le funzioni come la Virtualizzazione e le Trusted Execution sono disattivate.

Le prestazioni del processore single core si collocano nel segmento base. A causa dell'assenza del secondo core, le prestazioni possono risentirne quando si utilizzano più applicazioni in contemporanea. Pertanto (nei benchmarks sintetici), il Celeron M 925 è alla pari con l'Athlon II Neo K325 da 1.3 GHz. L'AMD V-Series V120 con clock simile dovrebbe essere più lenta a causa della minore Cache e alla diversa architettura. Sfrutta il veloce chipset grafico ATI con conseguenti migliori prestazioni complessive.
