Intel Atom D525

L'Intel Atom D525 è un processore dual core pensato per i nettops, ma usato anche sui netbooks (come l'Asus Eee PC 1215N). Si avvale di due cores Atom con clock da 1.8 GHz e grazie all'HyperThreading, il D525 è in grado di processare quattro threads contemporaneamente. Il D525 non ha lo Speedstep e di conseguenza gira sempre a 1.8 GHz (ed utilizza molta più energia rispetto agli altri Atoms in assenza di carico).

L'Atom D525 ha un controller di memoria DDR2/DDR3 integrato ed una scheda grafica GMA 3150.

Le prestazioni del D525 possono essere al livello delle CPUs single core con clock lento come la Intel SU2700 o l'AMD K125 se si usano entrambi i cores. Nelle applicazioni single threaded, le prestazioni sono nettamente peggiori e si attestano appena al livello delle CPU Atom da 1.8 GHz.
