Intel i3-1215U

L'Intel Core i3-1215U è una CPU mobile di fascia media per computer portatili sottili e leggeri, basata sull'architettura Alder Lake. È stata annunciata all'inizio del 2022 e offre 2 core ad alte prestazioni (core P, architettura Golden Cove) e 4 core efficienti (core E, architettura Gracemont). I core P supportano l'Hyper-Threading, che porta a 8 thread supportati quando vengono combinati con i core E-. La frequenza di clock varia da 1,2 a 4,4 GHz sul cluster di prestazioni e da 0,9 a 3,3 GHz sul cluster efficiente. Le prestazioni degli E-cores dovrebbero essere simili a quelle dei vecchi core Skylake (si confronti con il Core i7-6700HQ). Tutti i core possono utilizzare fino a 10 MB di cache L3. Rispetto ai modelli più veloci i5 e i7, l'i3 non include le funzioni vPro.

Prestazioni

La media del 1215U nel nostro database si colloca nella stessa categoria del Ryzen 3 5300U e anche del Core i7-1185G7per quanto riguarda i punteggi dei benchmark multi-thread. Si tratta di un risultato abbastanza decente, a partire dalla fine del 2022. Per una CPU entry-level, cioè.

Il suo chilometraggio può variare a seconda della competenza della soluzione di raffreddamento del suo portatile e dei limiti di potenza della CPU.

Caratteristiche

Il controller di memoria integrato supporta vari tipi di memoria fino a DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 e LPDDR4x-4267. Il Thread Director (in hardware) può supportare il sistema operativo a decidere quale thread utilizzare sui core più performanti o efficienti per ottenere le migliori prestazioni. Per i compiti AI, la CPU integra anche GNA 3.0 e DL Boost (tramite AVX2). Quick Sync nella versione 8 è lo stesso delle CPU Rocket Lake e supporta la decodifica MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1, JPEG, VP8, VP9, HEVC e AV1 in hardware. La CPU supporta solo PCIe 4.0 (x8 per una GPU e due x4 per le SSD).

La scheda grafica integrata si basa sull'architettura Xe e offre 64 delle 96 EU (Execution Unit) che funzionano fino a 1,1 GHz.

La CPU ha una potenza di base di 15 W (TDP, PL1) e 55 W max. Potenza Turbo (PL2) e l'intero SoC è prodotto in un processo da 10 nm presso Intel, noto come Intel 7.
