The Elite Dragonfly has nearly everything a business professional could want. With thoughtful features like the Sure View privacy filter, webcam cover, and rugged MIL-STD-810G certification, it appears fully equipped to stand up against the tedium of board meetings and travel. The magnesium alloy chassis is super slim and light, but build quality is still unreservedly top-notch. What's more, it even has an oleophobic coating that keeps it looking pristine. You aren't left wanting in terms of connectivity options either, with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a full-sized HDMI output, and support for Wi-Fi 6 and LTE.

The HP Elite Dragonfly is an outstanding debut edition for a sophisticated device that could well cement itself as an enterprise essential. This striking 2-in-1 excels on several fronts - from fantastic connectivity to an excellent display - while leaning on its premium design and build quality to carve itself a unique identity. Moreover, a string of minor but significant features, such as a built-in webcam cover, underlines its enterprise-friendly credentials. While performance levels can’t match the beefiest devices on the market, power isn’t the Dragonfly’s key selling point - it’s practicality. Its main advantages include HP’s security software, battery life, and its sub-kilo weight. Both immensely stylish and functional in equal measure, the HP Elite Dragonfly is highly commendable. If you’re willing to look past its premium price tag, a wealth of features combine with aplomb to render this device an absolute joy to use.

That being said, the HP Elite Dragonfly is not a bad laptop at all. If you want a laptop with a muted aesthetic, extremely portable due to its weight, and durable build quality, then the HP Elite Dragonfly would be a great option. It’s a pleasure to use, and I have no real complaints (aside from its lack of an SD card reader) during my time using it as a daily driver.

The Elite Dragonfly is a business laptop in name only. With its light weight, small size and attractive design, the Dragonfly looks more like a stylish ultraportable than a clunky notebook your company’s IT department handed to you. It offers powerful multitasking chops, though you won’t be able to play many games on it. The Dragonfly’s battery life may lag some of its rivals, but is still long enough to get you beyond a work day. For those looking for a good-looking laptop and don’t need a ton of muscle, the Elite Dragonfly is perfectly adequate.

But this is a 13-inch convertible that weighs in at 2.5 pounds (starts at 2.18 pounds), which is incredible. It makes it so much easier to carry around. It's one of those PCs that you can put in a backpack and it feels like nothing is there at all. And at that weight, it's not making compromises, still including a phenomenal keyboard, great speakers, and so on.

The Dragonfly proves that corporate business machines don’t have to be boring and soulless. In fact, they can be more desirable than their consumer-focused counterparts. It even has a cool name, unlike the jumble of letters and numbers most laptops are bestowed with. The biggest issue with the Dragonfly might be its price. At this cost, it’s not likely to become a standard-issue computer at most companies, and it will likely be reserved for the C-suite. But if you do have the budget for it, the Dragonfly is an excellent productivity laptop with few issues marring its experience.

I can’t believe this is a business laptop. Probably because I really, really want the HP Elite Dragonfly to be my new laptop around town. The only thing stopping it for me is the addition of Intel vPro technology which relegates the Dragonfly to an 8th Gen processor. Outside of that, the laptop is almost perfect. It’s gorgeous and durable with a bright display and comfortable keyboard and it gets nearly 13 hours of battery life. Sure, the audio needs work, but like I said: almost perfect.

For a number of years, the XPS 13 has been considered the most powerful and business-friendly Windows machine on the market. While our hands-on assessment of the Dragonfly is hardly conclusive, HP’s stunning 2-in-1 has a real chance to steal Dell’s crown.

In terms of actual configuration options, that will vary market to market, but what we know is that it will have SSD storage configurations of up to 2TB in capacity, have 8GB and 16GB RAM configurations. The 16GB RAM config is soldered down with no expansion options and is laid out to support dual-channel operation.

Intel UHD Graphics 620:
