Going round the connections, the left side has VGA out, HDMI out, Ethernet, microphone and earbud 3.5mm sockets. The front has a multi card socket while the right side has three further USB ports the DC input and a DVD reader/writer. One point with this there is no manual open of the drive so you need to use the Eject button from a right click within Windows to release any media you may have in the drive.

The Aspire 5745PG combines excellent touch-screen capabilities with solid hardware, an excellent keyboard and great connectivity options. While it's not ideally suited for use on the move due to its size, weight and short battery life, it's definitely a strong contender for anyone wanting a decent laptop with touch-screen input.

Acer's Aspire family of notebooks continues to mushroom and it's not hard to spot what the principal selling point of the 5745PG model is from the second it's been powered up: its considerable touch screen capability.

NVIDIA GeForce 310M: La GeForce 310M è il successore della GeFore G210M e si basa sullo stesso chip con un clock rate molto simile (velocità shader +30MHz a 1530MHz).

Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.
