AMD A4-3305M

La AMD A4-3305M (nome in codice Llano) è un processore dual-core per portatili entry level. Fa parte della famiglia di APUs Fusion (=Accelerated Processing Units) e sfrutta una scheda grafica integrata Radeon HD 6480G. Il processor core ha un clock base da 1.9 GHz ed è in grado di effettuare un overclock automatico fino a 2.5 GHz (TurboCore, in base alla temperatura ed all'utilizzo dei cores).

Il processor core si basa sulla famiglia Husky 12h. Rispetto ai precedenti processori mobile Phenom II, il core Husky è molto simile ma sfrutta un driver hardware addizionale. Comunque, le prestazioni per clock dovrebbero essere simili ai precedenti processori mobile Turion II, Athlon II, Phenom II (perché le APU Llano non sfruttano la Level 3 cache).

Le prestazioni del processore dovrebbero essere simili alla precedente AMD Athlon II M320. Grazie al TurboCore le prestazioni single threaded dovrebbero essere leggermente migliori (al livello della AMD Turion II N530) e quelle multithreaded leggermente inferiori. Pertanto, le prestazioni sono nettamente peggiori rispetto ai processori Sandy Bridge based con clock simile (i.e. Core i3-2310M).

Le APUs Llano sfruttano una scheda grafica che supporta DirectX 11 con un massimo di 400 cores. La versione AMD Radeon HD 6480G della serie A4 tuttavia offre solo 160 cores a 593MHz. Questa è la principale differenza con la A4-3300M che sfrutta una 6480G "normale" con 240 shaders a 444MHz (che dovrebbe essere leggermente più veloce). Entrambe non hanno memoria dedicata e non sono in grado di usare la cache integrata (a differenza della Intel HD 3000). Inoltre la APU sfrutta anche un video processore integrato UVD3 per la completa decodifica dei videos HD maggiormente usati (come H.264, VC-1, MPEG4).

La A4-3305M sfrutta anche un controller di memoria integrato dual-channel con supporto per memoria DDR3(L)-1333 ed un controller PCIe 2.0.

Il TDP di 35 Watt per la APU (inclusa la scheda grafica ed il controller di memoria) la rende principalmente adatta per portatili da 14-15 pollici.
